Isuzu 3.0 MU7 - 835.000 KM- 2011

Featured Replies

I was really surprised when I spoke and saw the car (owned by foreigner) ... a friend has an Isuzu MU 7 which has incredible 835.000 km and is still in very good condition. Only had normal services every 10.000 km.

Must be a very reliable engine ???

Isuzu makes good engines. 400 km/day on average...seems like a delivery truck :)

Many diesel engines makes are good and  520,000 miles on a diesel is doable but what's the full service history,  must have had some further work carried out on it apart from the normal 10,000 km service record. ?

10,000 KM service might include changing belts etc at 100,000 km as it's included in the service.

Can't believe that some kind engine work has not been done,  not necessary major but something apart from steering joints etc etc.

The history would interesting to know on a high kilos engine like this to me that's all.

Perhaps full syn oil from new, no timing belt to worry about...

Normally the locals change the motor out at around 400k. No big deal, just slap one in. Cheap and plentiful here in Thailand.
