Has anyone got any more information on this Lopez-Gomez person? The mother waved a birth certificate in court like it was the Holy Grail, but he has lived since he was 1 yr old until his 16-17 birthday in Mexico. Does he hold a US Passport for his time in Mexico? Did he have a Mexican passport? What ID did he use to cross back into the USA? I am sure this played into what happen, but as usual we get only the sob story part. This is more a reason than any to update US citizen ID's, birth certs and SS numbers are ancient, and open to fraud. One thing I applaud Thailand for is how they handle it here, my daughter at 7 yrs old gets a Thai ID with photo and fingerprint info stored to backup her claim. -

I received my LTE almost a year ago but I received mine through the Thai consulate in Los Angeles. I've entered Thailand twice using my LTE and both times immigration seemed confused. The second time I showed them my approval letter from the Consulate and it reduced the confusion a bit but I still foresee confusion in the future -

In 2023, Canada's primary aluminum production was estimated at 3.3 million tonnes, making it the fourth-largest producer globally. This production is fueled by renewable hydroelectric power, giving Canadian aluminum a lower carbon footprint than many other producers. The majority of Canadian aluminum production (nearly 90%) is located in Quebec. Exports: A significant portion of Canadian aluminum is exported, primarily to the United States. Smelters: There are nine aluminum smelters in Canada, eight in Quebec and one in British Columbia.
