Hi all, 

 

I have a long flight coming up and would like to buy some Xanax to be able to sleep during the flight. I get very anxious and find it impossible to sleep even when the flight is at night time. 

 

I realise that Xanax is available in some pharmacies over the counter (although illegally sold). However I would like to know how I can purchase it legally and get a prescription? I.e. some clinic where I can just walk in, where they are interested in my money rather than overdiagnosing the problem (as I know already what works best for myself). This is because I don't want to carry prescription drugs with me to Europe without prescription. I want to have some for the way back too.

Think you have to go through a hospital to get it legally nowadays. Find Stugeron15 works really well, though don't know if you can get it here.

A bottle of red wine with the meal, a single malt with desert and a Grappa with the coffee works wonder for me.. together with the soft feather pillow in Swiss airlines First Class bed..

It does indeed require a prescription. Most clinics, unless specializing in psychiatry, will not carry it as the FDA requirement on record keeping are a pain.

 

All the hospitals have it, however.

 

Getting a script for just a few tablets - which is all anyone is going to give you when the reason is to sleep on the plane - should not be difficult. See a an internist (GP) at any hospital OPD.

Thanks for the replies guys, was easier than I thought. Just went to my social security assigned hospital and told them I need Xanax for sleeping on the plane. I saw an English-speaking doctor in 5 minutes who asked me more about why I need it. I said I cannot sleep on the plane and feel restless. He asked how many I want, I said 4. He gave me 20 and it was free.. Thailand is great.

Wow, how times have changed -  I remember buying it in Foodland, Par Pong in the mid 90's.
