Thunderstorm causes blackouts in Chiang Rai

CHIANG RAI: -- A thunderstorm brought down about 20 power poles in Chiang Rai’s Mae Chan district late Monday night, causing blackouts in several tambon.

 

Mae Chan district chief Somsak Kunakham said the poles along Mae Chan-Chiang Saen road were brought down by the storm, causing blackouts in Tambon Chanwa, Tambon Chan Chawa Tai, Tambon Mae Kham, Tambon Patueng and Tambon Pa Sang.

I was in Maechan last night having a beer and the lights were on the blink , many power outages this evening in the vacinity, it never rains it pours.

Oh and while I/m here , Sunday night a bus overturned in Maechan  next door to Rimchan hotel , Koreans onboard but nothing about it on here, maybe too far north of Pattaya to be worthy of comment.
