Featured Replies

Same here. Got a couple yesterday too.

That and the 'oh s...' (or some such - something went wrong) seems to be a current feature lately.

The humongous top center advertisement is also out of control when page enlarged and covers everything.

Bad gateway and reload message today and generally slow site

Note All other sites functioning ok

Seems like the  site running well (cant even add sarcasm emoticon)

I sure hope TV can get a refund on whatever they paid for the latest upgrade since it has been a dismal failure from the get go

A couple in the last minutes.

E.g. when trying to open this thread.

And "504 Gateway Time-out" error messages too.

Tea breaks chaps, just be patient :clap2:

502 Gateway error is the ngix https error, it happening when we get a db spike of connections, we are still trying to find out what part of the application is causing the spikes which in turn cause this error

Not seen today and not yesterday as far as I remember.

And.... its back again!  This site has been slow 'loading' all morning, so presumably a solution hasn't been found to the problem.

Not convinced that its entirely due to a spike in connections, but it could be true as the weather is appalling.

TD's post said the error is "happening when we get a db spike of connections".  This refers to the ThaiVisa Forum server software accessing it's massive database to extract everything it needs to render each and every page request made by users. It's a LOT of data to slog through, and a tiny hickup can create a chain reaction of data delays resulting in the server (or gateway) timing out waiting for Godot.

Today's had the slowest page response times I've encountered on the site (that wasn't caused by a network outage) in a long, long time.

Appears someone need to schedule to have some database work done.

Sometimes, a news event causes an unusually high load on the Thaivisa servers. I wonder if is was the various topics on the Manchester bombing, some of which were in braking news newsletters and Twitter messages, that caused it this time.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Hi, it was actually a new feature added by the software vendor, since it has been turned off the forum has become stable again
