rooster59 Posted April 15, 2017 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Pathum Thani people join annual Buddha idol bathing ritual By The Nation Residents of Lam Lukkka district in Pathum Thani province took part in the annual bathing ceremony of the Buddha idol at Wat Nangkhan Juntree on Saturday morning. The bathing of the Buddha idol, which is believed to have been built during the Chieng Saen (Lanna) period, was held on a raft on Klong Hok Wa Canal in front of the temple at 9am. The Buddha idol bathing ritual is held once a year on April 15. The idol is believed to be have been made in 1937 and it was offered to the temple by Wat Suthat.
