Recon engines in Bangkok

I think I've just  killed my 1999 Camry engine. Can anyone suggest a good rebuilder or where I can get a recon and how much?

Please say not much more than 20k...

If you go down the replacement route and live close to BKK, you can go to this location and ask around

If you don't speak at least some Thai probably best go with a Thai speaker

The used engines are not reconditioned but salvage from Japan, Singapore, etc where for tax and compliance reasons car's are scrapped well before their useful life is over.

 

If you buy a used engine don't forget to make sure the invoice paperwork is in order so you can update your blue book with the new engine number to keep everything legal
