BANGKOK, 20th April 2017 (NNT) - The Ministry of Commerce has expressed confidence that US foreign and trade policies will not affect Thai exports, while promoting its lifestyle events, BIG and BIH 2017.

Vice Commerce Minister Winichai Chaemchaeng revealed today that the ministry has been closely following global affairs and reaching out to Thai entrepreneurs. Its evaluation is that the US administration under President Donald Trump, with its various trade protection measures and efforts to denuclearize the Korean peninsula, will not have a significant impact on Thailand’s exports.

Meanwhile, the ministry’s Department of International Trade Promotion has joined hands with the Thai Lifestyle Products Federation and the Design And Objects Association to organize the Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair 2017 or BIG and BIH 2017.

Business networking activities are being held from April 19th - 23rd, while general retailing is scheduled from April 22nd - 23rd. The fairs expect to generate over 800 million baht in revenue.

Meanwhile, Jirabool Vittayasing, President of the Thai Gift Premiums & Decorative Association and Secretary-General of the Thai Lifestyle Products Federation, have forecast 3.8% - 4.5% export growth this year to no less than 2.8 billion US dollars (96.18 billion baht). The United States is expected to be Thailand’s largest trading partner at 24% of exports, followed by Japan at 15%, and ASEAN countries at 13%.

One thing that is very good around here is forecasts and results. It takes western countries who are a lot more educated 3 to 4 months to get figures yet TAT can do it in 18 hours or less. Many forecast Leicester City would win the League and Champions League, but it did not happen, just bullS>>> to make everyone feel happy. Crunch day will come and when it does, lets wait and see. Enjoy the propaganda while its lasts.

Unfortunately the propaganda will last forever.
