That is very helpful. I assumed as much, yet some assumptions I've made have not turned out right. Thanks.

As per the above,  Bangkok Bank or SCB debit cards, anyone know if there are any ATM's in which these

cards can be used in Hseni or Lashio ?

For me, I am always using as priority KBZ ATM's or AYA ATM's. For the reason that both of them are well deployed all over Myanmar and I never faced major problem with those ATM's. KBZ and AYA are charging 5,000 MMK per withdraw while others such as CB Bank are charging 6,000 or 6,500. KBZ allow me to withdraw 300,000 in one shot while others allow only 200,000.

Both KBZ and AYA ATM's are available in Lashio and I recall using it there. Hseni, I don't know.

Most Myanmar bank ATM's accept Union Pay cards - used one today in Yangon to withdraw cash.
Was your card authorised for use in foreign countries/Myanmar?

I started to face some issues getting cash from ATM here in Yangon for the last few months using my Bangkok Bank Visa debit or SCB MasterCard Debit.

I believe the banks are upgrading their ATM's here which might be the reason why it is not working as before. But I am not sure. I have 2 Bangkok bank Visa debit (one old one without chip and a recent one with chip). I never been able to withdraw cash with the recent one but the old one was always working until recently. Now, actually, it's working only in AYA ATM's sometime.

I also have a Bangkok bang Union Pay debit but I never tried to use it here. Actually, I can't remember if I activated it for international use... I should check that.

I am getting USD cash here so it is not an issue for me and I am also using my Bangkok Bank credit Card (Visa & Master Card) whenever it is needed, so did not try to use again my Thai debit card for while.

Just got back from recent trip.  Noticed that AYA bank ATM's are now allowing 600,000 kyats as a maximum withdrawal, same fee
