Hospital Double-priceing

Featured Replies

Does anyone have personal experience of Thai national being charged less at any Phuket hospital? My Thai wife is interested in possible plastic surgery.

Thanks for any replies from personal experience.

Is the surgery cosmetic or major? Does it need to be in one of the hospitals?

Many local Thais get small jobs done, such as removing lines near the eyes or nose reshaping, outside the hospital system.

There's a well known Dr with a clinic in Patong, and I believe many travel to someone in Surat Thani for some procedures.

Phuket International gives a 10% discount to Thai nationals.

Yes there is dual pricing, i suggest your wife goes by herself to the hospital or clinic to get a quote

There can be and usually is a substantial difference in prices quoted, i have found this out by personal experience, before the trolls jump in and disagree with me
