Nothing - really? Just above your post there is a guy showing how virile his bare back is at age 60+... And what about those video clips from Pattaya of drunks acting stupid... So, grandpa is pushing a stroller... no big deal...

grollies Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I'd say it is a personal matter between two individuals. This however is pushing it a bit: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5mz3TkxJhPc

Andrew Dwyer Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 My first wife was 1 year younger than me ( married 13 years), my second wife 6 years younger ( married 20 years), my Thai gf is 20 years younger ( ????????????).Who knows what the future will bring but am happier now than I've ever been. It's acceptable to me and it's acceptable to her if it's not for others..... well that's their problem not ours !!

And if there were any they were so minor that they were forgotten or resolved on the spot without any problem. You think this is not possible ? I guarantee it is. I think the secret is if you feel more ond more that your wife tries to understand and accept things you simply do the same - this will develop into an effortless mutual understanding and a 50:50 relationship without quarrel. My wife does not like boxing - but may I watch this on TV - anytime - of course ! I dont like maybe other things she does (actually now I do not remember what this could be actually, no joke !), but surely I would pay back her continuous kindness any time. Never said it was not possible but I am glad you agree it is an odd situation but fair play it sounds blissful.
Rc2702 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 My Mrs is 3 years younger than me but she looks 10 years younger. She's 5ft 1 and 8 stone and gives me evils if I eat too much. I tease her that she gets jealous over food she does not like it but the other day I brought 3 double cheese burgers back from Bangkok and she scoffed the lot before I woke up the next day .so I rest my case. Yh we reheat them so what:-)

To suggest that all men in their 30s or 40s are better role models for teenagers than men in their 60s or 70s is just generalised nonsense. Yes, I can just see a 70 yo out there with his teenage son playing baseball football hockey etc.
brewsterbudgen Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Yes, I can just see a 70 yo out there with his teenage son playing baseball football hockey etc.Maybe not hockey, but certainly football (of the non American variety). I have 3 more years until 60, then my boy will be 5. I'll let you know how I get on.

Dizer Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Not sure if this an odd incident.. I came to know from my Gf, there was this 53 year old geezer from new Zealand who married a 21 year old girl from a phayao village..same village as my gf. They met in pattaya and got married in 3 months.. he built her a house in phayao and also took her to new Zealand.. the kicker was that whenever this young chick comes to village for vacation she hooks up with her local high school sweet heart.. but the old guy has no clue whatsoever.. guzzi850m2 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 The more money you got, the more age difference can be accepted

He speaks mostly Thai with mum and her family, but English with me and at school.

A1Str8 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Any gap is acceptable! Anybody tells you otherwise, run! I am young. I have always been a womanizer and even in my case, every time I am with someone who's younger than me, there are always some know it alls, including family members, that try to tell me how I should live my life and she's too young etc. First of all, age literally doesn't matter. It's not just a nice saying, it's a fact. If you love each other and enjoy each other's company, who the hell cares what year you were born in. I remember this chick who was a few years younger than me and someone close to me, a relative noticed how we stared at each other then said something off putting regarding the age difference. This relative has a husband, who's like 20 years older than she is. When people talk bad and have a negative opinion, it is only because their own pain, their own low self esteem comes to the surface. Later I went to talk to this young girl and we got into the best and craziest relationship I have ever been in. Had I listened to this insecure person who was trying to put her own negativity on me, I could have never had that amazing experience! Don't listen to people!

Sometimes almost seems like some people are just jealous and want to destroy your relationship .That old cliche " Don't listen to people, listen to your heart "Works for me !
recycler Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Stop theorizing and following dogmas, just try it and you'll see that anything can work, many things are more important than an age gap and while you're at it just be happy and let others stick their opinions up their ... it's mostly jealousy!
Familyonthemove Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I've heard a general rule of half your age plus 7. Seems to make sense.
Stupooey Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Not sure I would be too comfortable if the outlaws were younger than me. Mine are about 12 years older and even that sometimes feels a bit close.

Got tired of the expressions on the face of Dutch people when I told them I am married to a Thai woman. Untill I told them I did not import her, but she lived in Holland already for 14 years before I met her and actually is (a little bit) older than me. We live now in CNX for >2 months and we love it, and each other. Already now more then 8 years together.

wildoates Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I am 65 and my wife is 42, we have no problems and are accepted here in the US without any problems...
CG1 Blue Posted April 29, 2017 Author Posted April 29, 2017 Well I have a 17 year old daughter, and I can say categorically that I don't want to start fatherhood over again. So I would only settle down with someone who feels the same way. That pretty much means I'll only look for a partner who already has a kid/kids. At 47 I would feel more comfortable with someone at least in their 30s. But who knows. Some of the comments I see on here about Thai ladies fleecing men of all their money, then leaving them...not good! But I think I'm smart enough and realistic enough to avoid those pitfalls....famous last words :)Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect
Kadilo Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 My girlfriends parents are the same age as me and I couldn't give a flying rubber tree. Far too many judgemental saddos with mathematical formulas that they think are applicable for others. No wonder they were shat on and live the rest of their life telling others how they should live theirs. Live and let live <deleted>Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

Everyone to their own. A previous poster has it right, their are many things more important than age, for example, the family you marry into. my ex was just a couple of months short, of 20-years-younger than me. we lasted 14 years, mostly pretty happy too. we negotiated our relationship when she was 19, and I was 38... and yes 'negotiated' is the perfect word... unlike nearly everyone else, we each declared desires and expectations clearly and we promised what would be given and received, in regards to finances, decision authority, and especially sexuality ( constant negotiating for sex is a dating game, not a marriage game )... the previous relationship was 11 years younger, prior to that 6 years younger, first relationship was 2 years younger. "I keep getting older and they stay the same age, yes they do." lol ... my first relationship was the only one entered into without clear and detailed negotiating. it was also the most disastrous. - my direct, and first hand knowledge over the 40ish years as an adult, has taught me this, a 19 and a 40 year old female are both gonna do female things... it's just that the older ones are more clever and harder to catch at it. so, in that regard, go for younger. so far I'm 57, and the oldest woman I've been in bed with was 32. so far. and my experience was older ones are better at sneaking, harder to catch. Farang99 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 WC Fields (or maybe it was Groucho Marx) said: "A man is as old as the woman he feels". I don't think age difference is very significant. A man in his late middle age or even retired would probably not be content with an empty headed teen or 20 year old - however pretty and sexy. She would not have the life experience to make a satisfactory partner.
nickmondo Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 mate.......as long as your wallet is fat enough.....it does not matter about the age difference. She will stay with you until the wallet is empty and then move on. So do yourself a favour, get yourself a babe!!! Why get an old minger? You can do that in your own country!!! When in the sweet shop.....get yourself the nicest sweet.!!
