Is it always possible to make the Thai passport in 1 day in Khlong Toey

Featured Replies

Hello, as I'll come to Thailand, I need with the mother of my daughter (4years) to apply the passport Thai of my daughter, and she said it's possible to make the passport in 1 day for 3,000 baths to get it the same day ? at passport office Khlong Toey, she heard that last year

Is it that true ? it's always working or not.. ?

Well we've the original sutibat of the daughter, she will have her ID, what more else paper needs ?

Thanks

One day sounds unbelievable. I applied for a Thai passport in Sydney and it took about a month. They are not made locally, and have to be sent from Thailand, so I was told.

A same day service has been available for Thai passports in Bangkok. This will be at the main PP office - Chaeng Wattana.

A family member arranged for that about a year back. Needed to be there early and picked up the new PP sometime in the afternoon. Don't think any need to register beforehand. The cost of Bt3,000 appears about right.

That was definitely the status last year (just confirmed with the person concerned) but cannot say if still an option. That was for a renewal, a new passport may be different. Suggest you check direct with MFA.

Apologies - misread the OP. Good that they PP office has a same day service now ....
