a cheap condo for about $150-200/month in Phatong

Featured Replies

This time I need it for 3 weeks, but in general, after I get a visa I'll need it for a few months. Any recommendations? Or guesthouse/hotel for about $10/day.

If a guesthouse, preferably that they allow to bring a girl to my room overnight.

Good luck.

Thank you! I'll need luck.

Are you crazy? You cannot bring a girl to your room in Pkuket unless you have a letter from her parents! Where do you think you are? Thailand?

EASY to find rooms in Patong for 4-6,000 baht/month, ( wont have air con ,tv or Hot water) head to the area around the fire station.also u might find some along Nai Na road.

for shorter stays than a few months head to the area, before u approach Siam Cabaret on the right up the hill to Karon beach  there at least 50GH's in this area 350-500/night low season  rates

to all those the cry  "cant be done"were do u think all the thai's stay?

Here in Kamala not to hard  to find an aircon room with wifi for around 7,000 baht

yeah, last year in the high season I easily found a few rooms for around, I don't remember, 5-6k baht/month, although not in phatong, because I didn't look in phatong. but yet, not too far from a beach. for now I need just a few weeks in phatong.

air con ,tv or Hot water -- I don't need any of that. I'd even pay more to not have a TV . :shock1: kidding

That's worth a try if you want to be a little closer to "the action" and I have seen them for as low as 400 baht or thereabouts a night in recent times, this especially if you will commit to staying a little longer than a couple of weeks.

Different times these days and a friend of mine who is staying at a reasonably well known hotel in Rat-u-Thid Road was asked when he was enquiring as to the price of a room, "how much do you want to pay per night?". His reply was 700 baht, to which the owner said that they could not go that low but they would give him a room for 800 baht, so he took it and he is only about 80 m from Bangla!

80 or a few kilometers - does it matter? I'm 3 km from it -- no problem.

sorry ......simon  u cant miss the buildings, there roads and roads full of GH's and even a food night market which has killed all the gh's restaurants trade. I know one guy there, 4 years ago he was getting 800 baht in low season, now he is down to350-400 cause o fthe competition. Even had to ask his landlord for a rent deduction for 6 months of the year...
