Police on Thursday detained a staff member of a children’s foundation in Hua Hin for allegedly molesting a minor under the age of 15.

Kampanart Sueyew, 39, has denied the charge and vowed to clear his name.

The man had previously been suspended by the foundation after a mother filed a police complaint against him on a molestation charge.

However, he said he returned to the foundation after some children called him and said they missed him.

Hua Hin police chief Colonel Sitthichai Srisopacharoenrat said that the foundation has headquarters in Bangkok and has branches across the country. He did not reveal the name of the foundation.

The suspect was in charge of the Hua Hin branch and took care of 12 girls, most of whom were orphans, homeless, from a broken home or disadvantaged.

The minor involved in the charge was not under the care of the foundation at the time of the alleged incident. Her mother asked the suspect to allow her daughter to stay overnight with his children because she had to run some errands.

The mother claimed that the suspect molested her daughter while she was sleeping in his house.

The suspect was also alleged to have molested another girl two years ago, Sitthichai said, adding the investigation has to be carefully conducted as it is a sensitive issue.

This guy was complained about in the past, but was allowed to return and work again,  How  stupid!

Throw the bum in jail.

He was complained about before, and he was allowed back, to carry on his disgusting behaviour.

Yet he is saying i didnt do anything, and i will clear my name.

Surely his past misdeads should have warned his superiors, that all was not ok.

Kiddie fiddling is becoming the norm here,  it is disgusting and should be stamped out now.
