Percent of states where a lawsuit has been filed has nothing whatsoevet to do with the percent of people vaccinated who develop myocarditis. It is very very low. Which is why the connection was not apparent until the post marketing phase. -

I was tested twice. Both times the test said I do not have Covid. I tend to go on what the evidence says. The effectiveness of masks in preventing infection with Covid in healthy adults is significantly below 95 of 75 percent. This is self evident since masks mere mandated but did not stop the spread of Covid. Even studies that conclude that masks have a small effect are nowhere near these levels of effectiveness for preventing infection. -

Thanks for your info, very useful to know these things. My Thai Mrs has a friend with a mobile phone shop. He takes part-exchange and we've bought laptops and tablets from him as well as phones. My step-daughter was happy to get my iPhone 7 plus when we upgraded to iPhone 8 plus two years ago. I had an Android phone from same year which even then wouldn't instal the app for my neo-bank. Two years later our iPhone 8's remain good. How much longer remains to be seen but from my experience I will continue buying 5 year old secondhand iPhones. -

In my case, I was not eligible at 67 because I did not meet the DSS criteria for a returning resident, as I lacked the intention to stay in Australia indefinitely or for two years. A pension claim can be made by a former resident who has resumed living in Australia if there is clear evidence of an intention to stay permanently. According to the Social Security Act subsection 7(2), someone planning to return for a specific period, like two years, would not meet the definition of an 'Australian resident.' When I returned at age 70 with the intention to live permanently, I became eligible for the pension. After two years, I gained portability, allowing me to take the pension abroad. This two-year rule prevents individuals from returning solely to claim the pension and then leaving. The complication arises from allegations that Thaksin, the influential figure behind the Pheu Thai party, faked a critical illness to avoid jail time by staying at Police Hospital, Bangkok. On September 18, a petition was submitted, urging Paetongtarn to reveal the truth regarding her father's hospital stay. The petition demands a full and transparent disclosure of the evidence, including CCTV footage, that purportedly documents Thaksin's activities in the hospital's private ward. Thaksin was granted an unusual six-month stay in a ward generally off-limits to other convicts. If Paetongtarn complies, she risks incriminating her father, potentially leading to his arrest and imprisonment for perjury. Thaksin was already sentenced in absentia to eight years for power abuse and misconduct, but received a royal pardon reducing his sentence to one year. Yet, he had not spent any time behind bars, owing to his claimed critical illness. Conversely, if Paetongtarn refuses to act, she could face charges of neglecting her official duties. This dereliction of duty might lead to her impeachment and removal from office, a partisan source indicated. The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) seeks evidence allegedly being withheld by the Police Hospital and the Corrections Department. They believe this evidence will reveal the truth behind Thaksin's "critical illness" and verify whether he genuinely required detention outside a prison. This episode is eerily reminiscent of the plight faced by Paetongtarn's aunt, former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, over a decade ago. Yingluck was sentenced to five years in jail for failing to curb corruption in a rice subsidy scheme during her term. With her father's fate hanging in the balance and her own political future at risk, Paetongtarn must navigate this legal and ethical minefield carefully. In my opinion, such actions are a sign of Israel's powerlessness and desperation. Wars are not won with such mischievous antics. In 1967, Israel tripled its territory within a week. In 2024, what is being presented as a victory is essentially petty hooliganism. There is a clear degradation of the capabilities of Israel's military machine.
