New rims for Ranger ?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a 2016 XLT Ranger and want to do some mods and first place to start is the lame looking wheels...... i would like to upgrade to something like in the pic (  matte black type with not a lot of see through space)... from what i've seen and asked around in shops in pattaya ..these type rims mostly come in 16" and next size up in this style seems to be over 18".plus (16" looks too small for me and anything over 18" is too much)

So , few questions..( i get the shops want to sell tires as well as rims)

Are these type rims availble in 17"... and to do a straight swap with the XLT OEM tires ...would this look sh--t or better off getting the 'rugged' type tires as well .with a higher/wider  profile ?

If this would look crap or not available... next option for me would be 18" ,with new tires  (recommended ?)   and how do the rugged looking tires perform on long road journeys ...re noise etc.

Any pics / info/ shop location appreciated

cheers  :)

You may not notice the noise from those rugged looking tyres if you either turn the radio up full or wear ear plugs ...

Wouldn't 20" look better, ride would be a bit harder though, but an improvement in handling no doubt. Personally I think those wheels look 'kin awful, but if that is what you like ... go for it.

Google Lenso for a Ranger ...plenty of pics
