Accident Rear Bumper

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I was distracted and didn't see a stone pole behind me. I have put a sizable crease in the bumper.

Ring insurance or fix alone? I have group 1 insurance. Probably not worth my while claiming this as my premium will go up.

Anyone know the price of a rear bumper?. I probably wont pay to have it color coded. Black and silver will be fine.

That was an expensive coffee !!

I'd ring your Insurance if you have class 1 we had a similar experience to just bumper damage and it was OK with the insurer to go get it fixed.

If anything the next premium was down a bit not an increase, just don't admit fault.

Yeah of course you don't remember when it happened must have been done somewhere sometime. :whistling:

On my Vigo I bought an after market bumper from one of those spares shops, but it was chrome and a nice price....

nice price. So ball park please?

Call the insurance guy. You paid for it so use it.  Plan on having your truck tied up for a week.

I paid 2,500bht fitted...but it was a couple of years back...Just ask around at spares shops, you know, the ones that do all the stick on bling..:stoner:

Probably easier just to buy a aftermarket bumper now! though I think if you had claimed it would have been no problem and no increase in premium.

Wow! Impressive.

Wife rang insurance in Bangkok, they rang guy, guy comes out only an hour after the accident.

Takes photo of bumper, notices it has pinched the tail gate a little. Takes photo of busted glass cover over light that I broke 3 years back, takes a photo of a scrape over wheel arch, 4 years ago. Writes it all down and tells me he will claim for all.

I need to call into garage in town and set up appointment. He doesn't expect my premium to rise.

So I will wait and see if it is a pleasant experience or not. I will keep you posted. Thanks for all your help guys. It is appreciated.

Same here would like to know as wife ended up with a half arse job as the insurance company sent her to a slap on workshop & did half a job because he didn't have a pulling machine even though the misalignment was minimal but certainly noticeable
