Thai Tourist Visa For Foreigners in china

Featured Replies

Hi All,
I hope you're doing well. I've a chinese residence permit from beijing. I'm a bachelor's student here. Can I get thai tourist visa while during from Beijing thai embassy or from my home country? I've been to maldives, malaysia, and srilanka before. My nationality is "Pakistani" Will appreciate your response.

As a Chinese resident, you should be able to get a Thai tourist visa from the consular section of the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing. I suggest you contact them to confirm this. Contact information, including email address and phone numbers is available on this page.

Thank you :)

If I remember correctly they want an Invitation letter.

@Tanoshi can you share your case here? Are you in china?

I lived in China for several years before moving to Thailand.

I obtained a couple of TV's then finally a Non Imm O Visa from the Thai Consulate in Guangzhou.

In each case they wanted an Invitation letter from a Thai resident or Company.

That was some years ago, maybe it's changed.

From this list of visa application requirements for foreigners. http://www.thaiembbeij.org/thaiembbeij/pdf/visa_requirement_eng.pdf

Quote

4. Guarantee letter (In English or Thai) from the applicant's local guarantor or local school, indicating the applicant's name, position, purpose of travel and duration of proposed stay. The letter must include official letterhead of the company/school and affix with official seal.

It appears that is is from somebody in China not Thailand.

For foreigners
Please note that the Royal Thai Embassy will only accept visa application from individual(s) with residency permit in china, providing that the residency permit remains valid after completing the trip to Thailand.

1. A copy of roundtrip air ticket or an evidence of confirmed reservation

2. A copy of accommodation reservation with name of the applicant in Thailand.

3. Bank statement with minimum balance of 10,000 RMB

4. Guarantee letter (In English or Thai) from the applicant's local guarantor or local school, indicating the applicant's name, position, purpose of travel and duration of proposed stay. The letter must include official letterhead of the company/school and affix with official seal.

Trust me, you need a letter from a Thai resident or Company.

If it was from a Chinese company it would request the letter in Chinese or English, not Thai.

local guarantor

If it had to be from Thailand it would say that instead of local. If look at the same requirement for Chinese it states Thai or English also.

Reasons of business or college/school exchange programs may require a letter from both.

For a personal TV, they required an Invitation letter from a Thai resident including their ID and proof of address before they would issue a Visa in all 3 cases. The Thai citizen is your local guarantor in this situation.

I was not employed but retired in China, so no business or school could supply a letter.
