I have been reading about this on an older thread but no mention was made of taking 'tabian baan' or 'proof of address'.  This is required now. Yesterday I took my passport and Police Letter for a fruitless journey to get a replacement licence and have to go back today. 

 

 

When l go anywhere in Thailand like a bank, immigration, DLT office or local gov office or main province gov office. 

I take my handy photocopy pack along with me plus all the originals.  

yeah you need a certificate of residence from Immigration, about 500 baht (supposed to be free) .. you could usually get one from the Police Station too but it's NOT the same paper as the police paper they gave you if you reported losing license.. they like to charge 1000 baht
