BANGKOK, 2 June 2017 (NNT) – The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with Thailand ranking higher in competitiveness and stressed on the importance of development in infrastructure, technology, public health, and education.

Government Spokesperson Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said that Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha expressed satisfaction towards Thailand's improved competitiveness ranking as announced by the IMD World Competitiveness Center from 28th place to 27th. The premier praised all sectors that contributed to three straight years of increasing competitiveness.

The competitiveness ranking shows that since 2014, Thailand has made progress and exceeded the global average in 2015. The premier took the report as concrete indication of the government’s efforts.

The government has prioritized national economic development and improved competitiveness by working with the private sector to achieve tangible results.

The spokesperson also made known that Gen Prayut had urged all related agencies to develop infrastructure, particularly in the areas of science, technology, public health, and education.

IMD are selling MBA's. Sounds as though they blow smoke up the backside. Had a look at their site, but have never heard of this organisation.

There are about 4 or 5 disciplines they rank countries. Thailand for digital progress was 41 down a point. The General forgot to mention this one.

The good general is satisfied with cheese sandwich.  His standards in all things are notoriously low.  His satisfaction only means that there is lots of room for improvement.

Strange the way these articles are worded. Like the most important thing is that the "PM" is satisfied, rather than whatever fake news he's supposedly satisfied with.
