NLA: 2018 budget bill to consider best interest of the country

 

BANGKOK, 6 June 2017 (NNT) - The National Legislative Assembly has assured the people that the 2018 budget bill will be drafted in the best interests of the country. 

Second Vice President of the NLA Peerasak Porjit, on Monday, chaired a seminar on the draft 2018 budget bill, which was organized to enable members of the legislature and related academics as well as individuals to obtain accurate information about the budget allocations and key details of the law. 

Mr. Peerasak said that the seminar was designed as a venue for those keen to share views and engage in effective debate about the draft law, which will come into effect in October. 

He added that the new draft law is comprised of three main elements, accounting for national strategic plans and policies, the draft budget allocation and views and observations by the responsible committee. 

Mr. Peerasak went on to say that, after all the details are obtained, the committee will review and make appropriate changes to the draft to accommodate Thailand’s economy in 2018, when it is forecast to grow between 3.3 percent and 4.3 percent.

Like it or not, opposition will not be found in the NLA and "best interests" will be defined by the Prayut government.

ok ; please let me get this straight; we need to educate our leaders ( a seminar) on how to manage finances ; how do they manage their own households ?

If they were really concerned about the best interests of the country, they would all resign and hold an election, instead of spouting their usual nonsense.
