A Chonburi paramedic randomly splurged to make a private (but eerie) outdoor cinema at a local Chinese cemetery on Sunday night because “just like people, ghosts want to watch movies too.”

The paramedic, Prawet Limchareon, 37, said that his “movie night” was held for the ghosts at Sawang Utthayan Sathantham cemetery.

“Whenever I drive past this place, there’s always a strange feeling that takes over,” says Prawet.

From what I understand...it was only the poorer uneducated upcountry ghosts that were watching the movies, the educated ones went to Major Cineplex as the movies there were more up to date plus they liked the popcorn there. Then they were also some of the more affluent ghosts and also the ones with some libido still in them who visited the various massage and bar joints that had underage Laos or Burmese girls working there and then went down to Yaowarat for supper. Yet there were some who rather visited the coffee joints that were still open to talk about politics and their love for the PRDC Yellow Shirts and also the Democrats (mind you it was a thai-chinese cemetery) and was complaining  about how bad the economy was at moment hence their living relatives not making much offerings for them.

To check if your Thai udder-half is superstitious, try whistling at night. Well known here that it attracts ghosts, I kid you not.

I have done this just to see the reaction .Try it while concealed then walk into the room and look around like you just seen a ghost.

I asked my GF about why Thais don`t whistle when they want their dog to come to them . In Australia whistling the dog is common . No ! Don`t whistle it calls the Pii .     <deleted>  ??

My wife watches them stupid Thai videos. And one that got me was a thai girl screaming all the time. I said why is she screaming. She said she's sees a ghost. Oh boy was that irritating.

Years ago a mate of mine who lives on his boat that he built himself which he has sailed round the globe single handed told me not to whistle on board as it whistles up a storm..

I have a hard time convincing the locals I`m not scared of ghosts . But I am scared of the roads .

Never known a ghost to do anyone any harm . Seen plenty of carnage on the roads .

That old legend about the girl who`s hubby went to war and she died during child birth . Hubby comes home not knowing his wife is a ghost .

There`s another twist about a Monk exorcising the spirit . Phra saves the day . Just as superstitious as the lay folks .

I was once told that the reason I don't believe in ghosts is because I can't see them. I can't see them 'cos I'm 'farang'. I asked if the ghosts can see me and was told, "the ghosts don't care about you". Good to see Thai ghosts remain nationalistic even when dead.
