2017 no visa question

Featured Replies

Hi guys, quick question. I have a U.S. Passport and have decided to visit Koh Samui for about 2 months (60 days). I just want to make sure that once i get to Thailand, i can extend my trip from 30 days to 60 days in Koh Samui (No Visa). I just want to be completely sure that this is possible before booking flights and hotel. Thanks.

If you don't have a visa or flight ticket out within 30 days your airline might not let you board your flight.

It's a decision your airline makes.

No problem to extend a 30 day visa exempt stamp at immigrations in Thailand.

Better to get an 60 day tourist visa from an honorary consulate before travel.

That will also save you from a boring day queing at immigration when you come to Samui.
