I spent some time in Surin town before and found it quite difficult finding other foreigners.

Is there some "farang" group, meetup? Coming by again for a couple months and want to meet some other people to talk to, besides my thai lady and some occasional conversations in the gym.

Route 214 Diner, located on route 214 just past Robinsons, The Beach or Norbert's on Soi Cola  and the Corner Café are all popular farang hangouts. Owners are English, French, German and a Scandinavian in that order. The Surinfarang Forum would get you up to speed on what is happening in the region and perhaps introduce you to a like minded English speaker.  I certainly enjoy Surin and suggest you go to the Tawandang night club if you haven t been already.

The Corner Cafe is closed. There's a non-restaurant business there.

They have reopened in a new location. Details on the local forum which was mentioned in an earlier post.

Yes, that forum has always been an issue for me, that's why I no longer visit it.
