Just as general info. Might be of help.I was 65, not so many options already at that age. For a 3 week trip from Berlin to New York I got cover by Global Link, UK. It serves UK & EU residents. Primary address in still Berlin. Gosh, was I lucky!

In NY I had a blackout in a restaurant. Ambulance. One night in Emergency under observation. Nothing found.

Cost sweet $10.000!

Global got my latest health report. Clean Bill.

Perhaps 5 emails the most.

No calls, no questions. Bills were directly paid.

Just in case someone is interested.

My residency is now Thailand.

So I need another insurer for a trip Th -Germany.

Do you know one who insures at my young age?

 

Wow!  You were lucky.  Glad you were covered.  I always get travel insurance.  Sorry, but don't know of any other countries.  Hopefully somebody will come along and can help.

AIG travel guard will cover you till age 85.  Full cover for 60 days in Portugal 2,819 baht   That was 3 months ago.   Geoff. T.     (age 83)

AIG no problem, used them very recently and I am over 71.

I am UK citizen resident in Thailand for many years and used AIG for many years, so don't know where the US residents only comes from.  I deal with our local AIG agent who has always been very helpful.  Geoff.T

When I tried to fill out the online form only local states came up. AIG by any chance in Thailand? Any good agent?

Travel insurance is similar to accident insurance and not related to the condition of your health

Travel insurance usually excludes cover for pre existing medical conditions unless declared and accepted by the insurer. Which normally means a higher premium or they just refuse to cover that condition. 

AIG Germany said no travel insurance. I could do it via Lufthansa or Emirates Air.

THAIVIVAT covers up to 75  https://www.thaivivat.co.th/insureonline/BOT/  which I used and had smaller claims, no problem
