Travel partners for Lanta trip

Hi all,

 

With solid help from members of this forum (in the Samui section specifically) I finished making an elaborate 14 day trip-plan of Thailand from 24th Dec to 7th Jan. My schedule is best described as a "hurricane trip". 

 

The trip includes = day trip to Ayutthya, day trip to bridge on the river kwai, FMP on 25th and 31st, day trips (from Samui) to marine park and to Ko Tao, samui and Phangan site seeing, 1.5 days in Krabi between the FMP's (!!) - the half day for Tonsai+Rilay beaches, the full for krabi town + 7 island sunset trip! Later, phuket, with day trips to Similan islands, day trip to marine park + james bond island. Also thrown in is a phi phi tour with overnight stay in phi phi.

 

IF i can pull it over successfully, in one day, i may get some kind of award from Thai tourism dept. Even if i do not, I have promised myself to celebrate with a Hangovertini !

 

But there is one big hole/regret in my trip - I shall not be touching Ko lanta - I hear their 4 island tour is very nice, with some cave swimming etc.  http://www.krabiandamantour.com/4islandtour.php 

 

Including Ko Lanta either means adding 2 more days to my trip, or doing a "custom" trip from Phuket (or Krabi or even Pi Phi) that will take me to Lanta, do the 4 island trip and drop me back in the evening.

 

The problem with such a trip is that its expensive for one person - so I am looking for "travel partners" to split costs with. The "day trip" will have to be between 2nd and 6th of Jan 2018. Please let me know if you are interested or know someone who may be.

 

If there is some designate place or trip operator who can arrange to find me a potential travel partner or partners, then please share that info - will be a great help.

I wouldn't plan too much after your trip to Death Island (Koh Tao), just incase you don't survive...

I am onl taking a day trip to Ko Tao form Samui and i am not into diving.

 

There is thus every chance that i shall be able to carry out the rest of my plan!!

Rushing from one place to the other in such a hurry would not be a holiday for me.

I agree ...  holidays are about relaxing for me.

To each his own - my idea of holiday is not lazing in a beach all day or chilling at some pub all evening.

 

Also for me a hotel is just a place to crash - that's why i book in lower end places, not fancy places, because I wont be in the hotel too long anyway. So, I save on expensive hotels and spend on activities.

 

I like to see as much as possible. If possible, do my travelling during nights or evenings, so I have more "day" to see the places. 

 

 

Any suggestions about how to find partners for a day trip to Lanta?

There's a koh lanta info fb page with 6k members. And a few thailand backpacker groups on fb if you search. These more specific group may be better.
