Taxi from Suvarnabhumi

Featured Replies

Hi, hoping someone can help with this. Its been a few years since I visited Thailand and I was wondering about good, comfortable, safe and reliable taxi services to book from the airport to Pattaya. I don't want a regular taxi from the stand as the last time I used these they were often unreliable and dangerous. And getting too old and lazy for the bus plus I want quiet and comfort so thinking of a private taxi service of some kind...not Uber as I don't want to end up surrounded by a mob of psycho regular taxi drivers.  Is there a service that can be booked, or a limo service available at the airport for a reasonable price? Thanks

^^^ they are good.... not cheap but modern vehicles and decent drivers

I always use this limo service whenever I arrive in BKK, I always get a Camry, no problems whatsoever with their service.  And they pay for the tollways as well.

Thanks. They look professional but isn't 3100 baht a little steep for a Toyota Camry when Nam's taxi services seem to be offering the ride for 1000? I would have thought 2000 or so for this limo service but times must have moved on since my

last visit.

I used Nam's taxi service last month. Very reliable, reasonably priced and safe (female) drivers. Will definately use again. Her website is http://www.namstaxipattaya.com/

Thanks, I might book with Nam's, are the cars okay?

Well, if you want "quiet and comfort" and they pay for the toll ways as well with a pretty darn good chance of not getting ripped off, what more would you want?

Sorry for pointing you in this direction.

Okay meaning how?

A suggestion would be to send her a message asking her what car you will be picked up in on that day and time.

Enjoy the ride...

Yes, the car that picked me up was clean, comfortable and in great condition.

I know a lot of taxi services around Bkk and Pattaya but it's the first time I have seen this one. Do you have any experience with them as prices are very competative?

Think of a 'seamless' travel interchange between plane and limo that AoT provides. You can book the limo while waiting for your baggage... no time lost. Then you walk your baggage to their reception desk just outside Customs... no time lost. Their concierge takes over your baggage and escorts you to your pre-selected car, loads the baggage and holds the door open for you... no time lost. Typically I tip 20 baht at this point. He will wake you up shortly before arriving at your destination.

Alternatively, you can walk your own baggage down to the rugby scrum meeting point, anxiously scanning the hundreds of name boards being proffered by meet and greet services, private hires, hotels, off-airport limo services and hotels, hoping that your driver is actually there, not having a piss and has spelled your name correctly, etc.. For those with a more professional meet and greet service, their agent will greet you with a wai and a smile and only THEN call your driver that you have indeed arrived and are ready for pickup. So you wait another 10-15 minutes in the rugby scrum for him to come in from somewhere near On Nut Road and find a parking spot outside. Other alternatives include having the mobile number of your driver which he didn't answer (having a piss), dropped connection (frequent and annoying) or ran out money (he can't call you back) or in most cases, has limited or no foreign language ability beyond, "Yes, OK mister. See you, OK mister. Alai?"  Then, once you are happily seated in the back of his not-as-new-as-advertised 'limo', he tells you he needs to go 'pump naman' to fill up the tank.

Choices, choices...

Of the off-airport, Pattaya-based taxi services, this one comes consistently very highly rated.

Personally I have no experience of his service but many, many do.

Used many times, cheap pays tolls etc and 100% reliable. They have waited for hours before when I have been delayed. Excellent service.

thaicalltaxi are pretty good. I've used them a few times. You have to book online but it's really simple.
