UK State Pension Indexing

Recommended Posts

Hi all don't know if this has been covered before but retiring to Thailand from the UK I have just found out that your UK pension is not indexed linked so you do not receive the yearly increase even though you have paid into the scheme all your life. Some countries like USA and even Jamaica and Philippines have reciprocal agreements with U.K. and get the yearly increase. I have noticed that there are lobbying groups for expats in Canada and Australia who don't have indexing wondered if there was anything in Thailand to get involved with because this is so wrong. If anything you should get more as your no longer using any facilities in U.K. or using the NHS.
