We're not regulars but go there sometimes and just wanted to ask if there is still parking available just accross  the road or has that gone with the work being done on the beach?

Might help if we knew WHERE sandbar is.

If it's Sandbar By the Sea I've no idea whether that car park in front is open for use.

 

I drive along side the Krungsri Bank and around the the back down to the footpath to Sandbar.

 

OK you'd have to walk 200 yards but it's handy and free.

 

 

Parking is available in the evening hours only. You must enter the old parking area where the restaurant itself is located.

I heard the whole area is being changed.  They are putting in parking all the way down the beach and a road.  Have you seen that?  Horrible!  It was the last great piece of beach in the area.

There are threads here about the new construction with pictures. I go to the beach regularly, the old parking area is currently a construction assembly area and concrete mixing plant. The old road will be widened 1-2 meters. There will be an expanded parking area when completed but no indication so far of parking along the new road.
