Kat hasn't been heard from in a while. I know she went back to the US so is probably over the whole thaivisa thing but although she & I didn't agree on several occasions she was a very well informed & valued poster whose posts were always interesting or fun to read. So if anyone hears from her tell her to pop in from time to time.

good point. hasn't been seen for more than three months according to her prof.

just sent her a email through the forum.

hope she is well, though.

Kayo.

One of my favourite posters. A visit would be nice. :o

Perhaps she and The Gent eloped? :o

Haven't heard from either one of them for too long.

Good question, should be settled in NY by now. I'll have to drop her a line. :o

Informed opinions too. (a rarity)

I think Kat is in the US doing some new researches. She will be back soon with a lot of facts I think.

Kat left Thailand at the end of September last year... and was preparing to re-enter the US job market.

I too miss her informed posts and personal insight... and wish her every success.

I'm sure she hasn't forgotten us.

/Edit - I just checked her profile and she's sent us all a message (dated 2 Jan 2007 - 8:45)

Hi everyone:

Thanks so much for your comments or interest on this page. To tell you the truth, I have not been on here lately, because I am transitioning back to life in the United States. Perhaps I will be back in the future. In the meantime, I hope everyone can stay safe and peaceful, in the New Year. Please everyone, stay safe.

truly,

Kat

Hi you guys:

I'm really touched that you all were concerned enough to start and comment on this thread, or to "look" for me. To be honest with you, I thought most comments would be in the vein of "good riddance" and such. Although, I really don't care about that crowd, it's good for me to remember the people that I have grown to like and care about here; so, thank you.

By the way, Boo, you and I have had our differences, but so have I and most of my best friends!! All of the people closest to me are very strong individuals with strong personalities, so, that doesn't put me off at all, so don't sweat it (which, judging from your new avatar, you don't - ha ha!). And as a mod, I always enjoyed your kickass attitude, and also taking out the redundant drones with you - ha ha - that was really good free entertainment for awhile. Hey, congratulations on your impending newborn! You will have to post or send pictures of the little cutie.

So, just between us, on this thread, I had to stop posting on TV for a while because of differences that really disturbed me. I can't really comment on them directly, because I'm afraid the thread will be pulled. That should give you a hint of what I'm talking about. I'll be glad to chat with you through messages if you guys want to know more.

At any rate, I'm over that issue, and am looking into ways to resolve it for myself. I am also back in the states, and I have to focus on stitching my life back together. I arrived in early October, and had to focus on my family and friends for a bit, and then the holidays. I am now totally focused on finding a professional job and the like. People have told me to buckle in for a 3-6 month transitional process - yikes! Since I also move around a lot right now, I don't always have a stable connection to sustain TV, so that's another reason.

I'll be back, but most likely not in the same capacity as before. However, I welcome staying in touch whenever I can.

Big kiss to everyone, including Jai Dee and Vic, two of my favorite mods!

Happy New Year's everyone. Stay safe and healthy.

Kat (big kiss)

Excellent Kat!

Great to get an update of your doings. I believe it was Boo herself who awoke a mass curiosity into getting you back on here and all credit to her for doing so.

I wish you the best of everything in your new transitions. I am also undergoing some heavy changes, having given up Guatemala and all associated er... Habits.

So I'm sort of dawdling about hoping not to notice the transition. :o

Welcome back Kat.

Chok Dii Khrap! c

:D

Kayo!

(vic's not a mod anymore and Jai Dee is practicaly Admin by now me thinks...!) :D

  • 3 weeks later...

Updates from both of you (Kat & Kayo) would be wildly wonderful!! You show me yours & I'll show you mine....

Khall :o KKK

Hope to see more of you, Kat.

Kinda miss our little 'exchanges' if you know what I mean! :o

Glad to hear all is well at home Kat, I figured it would take you awhile to get used to life there again.

Good luck with the job search, I hope you find something that is not only enjoyable and well paid but fulfilling as well.

And yes, us ladies miss your presence :o

Geez... sorry to have missed this thread. :D

Additionally, let me add my name to the ever-growing list of people who sincerely miss Kat's exceptionally enlightened, informed, and heart-felt postings.

You are, indeed, sorely missed and eagerly await any future writings you bestow upon us.

Best of luck to you in the U. S. of A. and all your future endeavors.

I know you will succeed in anything and everything you do.

With utmost respect,

SJ
