I called by the London Pie shop a few days ago to pick up some fresh sausage rolls for lunch and I was chatting with Steve, the owner. As well as getting pies and sausage rolls for myself I usually pick some up for a friend living in Jomtien who doesn’t have any transport so Soi Chaiyapruek 2 is way off his radar.

Steve told me that he does a delivery service so if you call him and tell him what you want he will deliver it to you. Apparently he does the rounds just about every day, and maybe twice a day, I’m not sure. Anyway, if you don’t have transport and you fancy some real British pies or pasties, or something from their range of ready meals, give him a call on 087 266 5983. You can see what’s available on their website or Facebook page. I’ve no idea if he charges for delivery. If anybody has used the delivery service please let us know the details.

Now for a disclaimer, the business is nothing to do with me, I’m just a regular customer there as I think their pies and sausage rolls are the best in Pattaya. I’m posting this to try and help people who don’t have a car or motorbike, like my friend.

Personally I prefer the Aussie Pie shop down the road. They've got way better meat pies and sausage rolls.

Depends where you come from I guess. I think most British people will prefer the London Pie shop's products. That's who this information is aimed at anyway. I tried Tinnie's and didn't much like it, plus his pies are a lot more expensive, probably because he has to pay the rent on that prime location near the beach.

A home baked cheese and onion pie (puff pastry) is what I miss most here....OMG

Did you try the imported Pukka Pie version that they usually have in the freezer section at the Central Food Hall?

If you have an oven - even a combo microwave convection oven - you can make them yourself. It really is very easy, particularly anything using puff pastry.

I do all my own pies, sausage rolls, apple turnovers, Danish pastries etc. etc. The only tricky ones are hot water crust pork pies.

A friend who eats pies says that Tinnies wins hands down and the price simply reflects the quality.

Well I eat pies and I completely disagree! As I said before, it's probably down to where you come from and what you're used to.

Anyway, if you read the OP this thread isn't about whether you like a particular pie or not, or which is best, it's simply to let people without their own transport know of the London Pie delivery service.

Please keep it on topic.

As someone without a vested interested you are making a good impression of someone who does have a vested interested.

It is an open forum and if you want to plug a mate's business that is up to you (until the Mods stop you). Equally, it is a good place to express an opinion about better quality products.
