BANGKOK: -- A 77-year-old millionaire succumbed inside a love motel on Sunday, with heart failure the suspected cause.

There are no traces of a fight inside the room he checked into with a 31-year-old female taxi driver.

Staff at the hotel said the couple showed no signs of anything unusual while checking in, but the woman ran out for help just 20 minutes later.

“She tried to ask for help after he fell unconscious. But when medical help arrived, he was already dead,” the staff told police.

Pol Lieutenant Pongkul Thongbua said the body would be sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.

According to an informed source, the elderly millionaire had previously called for taxi services from this particular female driver three times already – the first two times for a trip to the Chatuchak Market.

The third, and final, time, the couple checked into the motel together on the woman’s birthday.

Doesn't this qualify as another "honest cabbie" story, then?

A Baht millionaire perhaps and was there a cab fine?

Difficult not to succumb to heart failure if that was the cause of death but it does look as if he succumbed to the temptation of short-time with the taxi driver.
