Soldiers came to the rescue of about 700 families in a flood-stricken village in northeastern Nakhon Ratchasima province on Wednesday.

Troops from the 23rd Infantry Regiment and Wing Command 1 delivered food, beverages and other essentials to Ban None Ngiew in Prathai district’s Tambon Taladsai.

The soldiers arrived in boats and in trucks large enough to get through floodwaters that have otherwise closed down the road to the village, stranding residents.
