  1. If he tested positive via PCR then it will most likely be reported and they'll come looking for him to take him to a hospitel, hospital or field hospital. The agent suggestion is good in the meantime so at least he won't be on overstay. Hopefully flight can be rescheduled and all that.
  2. My Kasikorn account was closed for inactivity, but I don't think I had much in there when it was. They refused to reopen it or another account for me without going through all the hoops again (work permit, residency certificate, etc..) I just opened a Bangkok Bank account through an agent instead of wandering around town into every bank and being told I needed to pay for the $6k insurance of the ones that even wanted to let me open an account.
  3. I'd report it as stolen and get a new passport, seems like you have no choice. If your visa is expired and you didn't have your passport since, that means you're on overstay though?
  4. It should ya, and I've read multiple reports of people who have done so but you'll pay a fee of course. Wouldn't hurt to let the bank know you'll be traveling outside Thailand and using it incase they think it's fraud.
  5. Actually says 179 on the box so I guess I got a discount? But yes, I agree the pricing should be controlled, I just wanted a few and didn't want to go running all over and being told "mai mee".
  6. Not that I would chance my life on it but Thailand is pretty proactive in vaccinating strays against rabies, more so in tourist areas, but there are still a few human deaths a year from it.
  7. They can't do anything until his passport arrives. Unlikely to be any repercussions besides overstay fees if he shows proof he's waiting for a new passport and doesn't exceed 90 days overstay. Embassy should be able to issue a temporary passport in the meantime but I'm not sure if it can be used to obtain a new visa. It's usually used by tourists to return home.
  8. I just bought 3 lateral flow test kits for 147 baht each at a drug store in Central Festival Pattaya. Boots was sold out of everything.
  9. That's pretty crazy from what seemed like just a scratch. It's good you went when you did. Even if the animal doesn't have rabies, they have tons of harmful bacteria in their mouths. Even a human bite can be dangerous for the same reason.
  10. Was a joke about werewolves. Never heard of them?
  11. Plenty have been arrested for having CP on their devices. Some of it could have been obtained this way.
  12. I'd go now. Rabies is pretty much 100% fatal and a horrible way to die.
  13. I remember there used to be random Thais charging for parking your motorbike in Pattaya beside the Walking Street sign. Just random people who didn't own the land. Don't pay and might come back to see your tires slashed or worse.
  14. They just gave it to you as a walk-in, you didn't have to register another day?
  15. 6k as well but someone else mentioned 5k so maybe you can negotiate it down to that. I'm personally not gonna fuss over 1000 baht.
  16. Yes, you can register for a booster at Royal Garden Plaza on beach road from 11AM-3PM, Monday to Friday. https://pcec.club/ANNOUNCEMENTS
  17. 0% chance they will deny you with proof of a return flight. You'd very likely get an extension even without one because of the current situation.
  18. What does that have to do with what I said? I didn't say not to test, I said it doesn't matter if we don't have the daily updated numbers of ATK at this point.
  19. Good. Hospitalizations/ICU and ventilators is what is going to matter in the coming weeks/months. It's obvious already that Omicron is spreading through Thailand like wildfire and can't be stopped, only slowed if they're lucky. We don't need a random ATK test number to tell anyone that.
