  1. Yes, it's a 777 but there are 3 newer airframes with a first class cabin which operate TG910/911. These are not down to be retrofitted so should keep the 3-3-3 in economy.
  2. An unusual one for me today. Transferring from UK bank to BBL and used to it being almost instantaneous from several years experience. This morning (so not a weekend or a holiday at either end AFAIK) it tells me it won't arrive until tomorrow. Not a large amount of money so no issues due to size of the transaction. Instead of proceeding I did a transfer to my Wise balance (instantaneous) then set up the transfer again funding it from this balance and again was told it won't be there until tomorrow. I proceed with the transaction and it's currently saying the same as shown here. If I set up the same again now it's again saying tomorrow for receipt so at least they're upfront about telling me, just no reason for the unusual behaviour. I won't stop using them for this change which might just be temporary, but would like to know what's behind it out of curiosity.
  3. Alrady answered above I believe in that a fee only applies to USD and CAD.
  4. They've not started yet, and if you're flying to London you can always chose TG910 as the aircraft operating these flights will not be affected.
  5. Incorrect. They don't have Section 75 protection but they do have chargeback protection, which is what you would use on credit cards too for purchase of £100 GBP or less.
  6. What makes you think that?
  7. It doesn't work based on addresses but on location. Every phone within range of the masts putting out the warning signal will receive it if capable and set up to do so.
  8. A friend was in a similar situation a few months ago, albeit a different category of damage, and got refused boarding at BKK by the airline. What he did was rebook his flight for a couple of days later then used the auto check-in, auto bag drop and auto immigration gates to leave so having no contact with any airline staff or IO until the perfunctory name check against boarding pass at the gate. He flew to the UK and entered without a problem, again using the egates. When in the UK he tried to make a same day passport appointment but this can't be done if you mention it's damaged so he left that bit out. He got a bit of grief from the lady he dealt with in the passport office, but got a new one anyway. If you're planning a trip home anyway, my advice would be to follow that route to exit Thailand and return home, then use the regular channels to replace the damaged passport while in the UK.
  9. Another LK Metro bar owner posted about 3 hours ago he'd be open as usual today (Saturday 10th) and tomorrow.
  10. Halifax Clarity does charge interest, as you say, but if paid off immediately the transaction shows it would be minimal. No further charges apply. If he had the Barclaycard Rewards CC he wouldn't even have any interest on cash advances to worry about if he pays the statement in full by the due date. Without knowing how much he'd spend and on what it's all guesswork, but a CC (or the right DC) could be a practical solution.
  11. The Embassy will not be of any use, they are part of the Foreign Office and passports are issued by the Home Office. If anything he should contact HM Passport Office (part of the Home Office) who will tell him it's damaged. It's mentioned in their guidelines to Passport Office staff of how to handle applications for repacement of damaged passports where it would come under "writings or drawings". It's at the lesser end of the scale and does not require further explanation from the holder. No matter what, if an airline or IO anywhere doesn't like it the OP will be up the creek so should obviously get it replaced. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/damaged-and-faulty-passports/damaged-british-passports-accessible
  12. The departure information is not compulsory either. Compulsory fields are marked with a red star.
  13. It's not the Emergency Contacts page but inside the back cover. See his other thread and responses here: https://aseannow.com/topic/1360263-uk-passport-checking/
  14. As mentioned in the thread about this in the news section, it's not clear yet if bars will be open as there's supposed to be a list published of approved locations which isn't around yet. https://aseannow.com/topic/1360233-thailand-eases-alcohol-restrictions-on-buddhist-holidays-with-exceptions/
  15. The article mentions that a list is going to be published of approved locations but no sign of it yet, and the first of the affected days is only just over a day away.
  16. The "good" booths are on the basement level. The food court is on the ground level.
  17. I have answered you in your other identical thread here: https://aseannow.com/topic/1360235-my-uk-passport-where-can-i-get-it-checked/
  18. Do you realise you've posted in a thread discussing fake TDAC sites and you're question has nothing to do with the subject? To answer your question, the clock will restart on your 90 days with the day you return being #1. You must report in the 2 weeks before the 90 days is up or 1 week after (in person only if using the 1 week after route).
  19. The passport has been defaced and could be considered invalid by airlines or immigration officials anywhere. No-one is going to say "hey, that fine, just carry on using it". Get it replaced before it becomes a problem.
  20. https://thepattayanews.com/2025/04/29/pattaya-city-to-replace-walking-street-signs-with-new-high-tech-led-versions/
  21. The field is retricted to alphanumerics only. I would just omit the slash.
  22. I couldn't find anything published regarding how they calculated the exchange used which made me very suspicious. Do you have any real world examples of just how much they load it?
  23. Use your re-entry permit number. That's what was used on the paper version.
  24. Many people got these messages and it's a box ticking exercise for the banks, but I would probably go in next time I'm close if I were you and sign the forms. There's a few threads on here about the procedure if you can find them.
