  1. You may be asked to show an onward ticket showing you're leaving Cambodia.
  2. I'm not the guy you asked, but if I may chip in here I recall this being discussed before. I'm quoting from a previous thread where it was mentioned: There followed some debate about whether this only related to Thai Social Security or Social Security from other countries too, but this may be what the poster is referring too.
  3. For TT yes, but Wise use their own mid-market rate which is always better. When the banks have a low spread between buying and selling (eg USD) then Swift will win after a point, but when the higher spread is larger than Wise' percentage charge then Wise will always win. I'm sure that's the case for GBP which is what you are discussing. Happy to be proved wrong if someone crunches the numbers, but that's been my take on it recently.
  4. Or if they can't remember they can always use The Orange Alligator Sat On His Cornflakes And Hiccuped.
  5. treetops replied to JoePai's topic in Pattaya
More details in these other threads on the topic. https://aseannow.com/topic/1352167-new-bus-routes-link-bangkok-airports-to-pattaya-and-hua-hin/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1352192-finally-regular-bus-service-from-don-mueang-pattaya/
  6. Glad this is in the Pub forum and hopefully won't attract the usual income tax nonsense like all the other threads.
  7. Plenty of these signs on South Road. Two languages and a widely recognised symbol for no parking.
  8. SIM Router or Pocket Router. Some discussions here and several more if you search. 4G+ readily available, 5G much more expensive last time I looked. Your speed may be dependant on your package specifics rather than the device. https://aseannow.com/topic/1351944-new-lte-pocket-router-im-loving-it-dlink-router-on-true-unlimited-12-month-data-plan https://aseannow.com/topic/1333069-looking-for-router-with-sim-card-support/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1273022-your-experience-with-sim-card-routers/
  9. It's a recently introduced feature in the forum software and most links now appear like this and require cut/paste to access. There are some sites I think that are "trusted" and the links clickable.
  10. He shouldn't have paid and cited this case from late last year. https://www.nationthailand.com/news/general/40044356
  11. The form refers to both FATCA and CRS.
  12. That makes me think your monthly 29,000 ish baht is the state pension and not a government service pension. You called it earlier a "monthly government retirement pension" which is a bit unclear and has made some posters think of it as eg a civil service pension which would not be taxable due to the DTA. UK State pension is assessable for tax by the Thai RD, however if that is all you remit it's well below the threshold at which you would owe any tax.
  13. It's also not good practice to overuse a phone for hotspotting as it decreases battery life.
  14. Have you tried that? I get a trip not found error message when I enter this info. I think it's Jomtien as googling for the distance seems closer.
  15. Can you expand on this? I've used both methods in the past (for other apps) without issue.
  16. You can probably get it by using a google account with location set to USA, otherwise the apk can be downloaded from apkpure.com
  17. Googling for the distance between Don Mueang Airport and Jomtien Bus Station I'd say yes.
  18. It's not strictly a post 9/11 rule but was implemented much later following the uncovering of a terrorist plot in 2006.
  19. I don't have state pension but next to my income there is an option to update these figures in the "Check next tax year" section. Do you have this?
  20. The Non Imm visa you would use once to get entry into Thailand for 3 months and would then extend your permission to stay for a year at a time. You would add a Multiple Re-entry permit to this to get what you desire.
  21. It's been reported on here that your local immigration office can provide this.
