Don't think anyone cares 'who' you are, but 'what' you are. Still living under that bridge and not accepting your multiple personality disorder. Get mom to make you some chocolate chip cookies w/milk, and you'll be right as rain.

I used this guys recommendation. He was a Blade One fan, and compared the 2. Seemed to like the DuraBlade, though also skeptical of the blade life warranty, which is BS. iF in USA, they will replace, but it would cost me more to ship to/from, than simply buying new blades heads when on sale.

For 'base price' the dealer might give you, just look at your full insurance value coverage. 3 cars sold, and that was about what we got. Two sold to 2nd hand vendor, think we got 10-15% over insured price. Better price that would I'd expect now. One sold private, during covid, and got just a tad over insured price. Then as is now, it's a buyer's market.

Quality sofa in Bangkok, maybe built in Bangkok - where to get one?
KhunLA replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in General Topics
Pop into one of the 'Home & Furnishing' expos at Impact convention center. We did this back in 2011 for our 2nd build, as little quality available at Udon Thani at the time. Ended up buying a living room (sofa, table, 2 chairs) and bed frame. Got barstools and dining table & chairs from Chatuchuk market vendor. All shipped to Udon by the vendors. Still have all except bed frame & chairs. Living room set was fabric, and we bought extra, in case any part of needed reupholstering. Didn't need so far. They just had one last week ... oops BITEC having one now ... FB page for sample (scroll thru), maybe what's there Seems that it's more than just home & furnishings https://www.unionpan.com/ -
I went with the Remington Durablade, and similar competitive concept. Was going to be Durablade or One Blade. Durablade heads last about 1year, far from the 5 yrs stated. Don't know if I'd recommend, as expensive here/TH. Bought one here, and 2 from USA, and stocked up on shaving heads. Not for the business person, with heavy beard and needs to be clean shaven every day, but I shave every other day or so. On topic ... sorry OP, never used oils when shaving. I do shave after walking the dog in the early evening, which usually works up a sweat. Blade seems to slide over that fairly well, just before showering. Better than clean, just wet or dry face.

Have a few around the house, but none seem to have settled in and used the house as a perch. Have drones JIC they do decide to hang out here. Brother had to give up racing pigeons, as got an lung infection, and couldn't shake it while still having the pigeons. Birds can be quite the dirty vermin at times.

Trying to find a bicycle that is comfortable to ride
KhunLA replied to connda's topic in Cycling in Thailand
@conndaThat's why I like my Schwinn, as fits your description. Converted to an ebike when wanting, instead of buying something else, as really comfy to ride. Schwinn Streamliner, and think I paid 11k for it, more than a few years back, but in Krung Thep. Check out FaceBook MarkketPlace Chiang Mai, as see a few on there that might suit. I think my Schwinn has been discontinued, or renamed -
Are you "all in" in your relationship?
KhunLA replied to sidjameson's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
If you're not all in, then you really aren't in a loving relationship. Not sure what you would call it, or how people label their 'relationship' ... ... partners till needed ... business relationship / employment They're the only 2 non offensive ways I can express my thoughts. No need to wonder what is wrong in this world. Why I enjoy being anti social. Hope there's a few parents out there (if alive) that would disown their children if hearing or reading some of the things I read. Or not, and that could be the problem also. -
Statins: A Vital Consideration for Those Over 70, Study Suggests
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Think I'm good for a few more, and trying to pay attention to diet, as may stretch out a few more. Luckily not needed giving up much. Most dead in family, aunts, uncles, cousins, parents. I've passed them long time ago. Have 2 brothers older, 18 months & 7 years, so that's optimistic. Mother made it to just shy of 74, and I'm knocking on 70. Father made it to 69. both alkys & chain smokers, and I'm neither. Have one cousin, mother's side, passing soon, if not already, and 84 👍 Statins for me are a negative, and #s are decent, and will see in a couple months if stopped taking them has any major effect. See what my APOB # is. My HDL/Trig ratio should be good. -
Divorced couple, legal father, mother dissappeared
KhunLA replied to yaronf's topic in Family and Children
First, is the kid yours ? If not, I would cut my losses before getting too attached. Hopefully you are renting. Drop kid off at her parents, and file for divorce, for abandonment now. Then go far far away from her village. Return to amphur office to pick up final divorce when time allotment has passed. OR ... expect to be treated like a doormat the rest of you life. First time my 1st Thai wife didn't come home at night, my buddy called (married to her cousin) and said she'll be back in a day or 2. I said ... 'no, she won't' He's like, yea, she will ... I'm like, you're not listening ... 'no, she won't' OH, it hit him. Within the hour she's knocking on the door, "what, you don't want me back ?' "NOPE, has a nice life, BYE" -
What is needed to renew two year drivers license at Pranburi
KhunLA replied to kiwikeith's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Yes, @ Pranburi you do, if memory serves, or it's first come first serve, which means you may not get in first viewing after you arrive. Pranburi is where I renewed last time. If DLT is down, he'll need to stop in anyway, If they require a med cert, then he should ask to see a sample, or even recommendation what doc/clinic will do it. As made that mistake one year somewhere, and they didn't accept the form I had. Thought that was really strange. As stated earlier, not sure if Pranburi required one. At the time, 3 yrs ago, they did not require a CoR, IF having yellow book. Strange that PKK municipality did. Why I used Pranburi, as on the way to HH for a CoR anyway, as saved a further drive, a wait at IMM & 500 baht. -
You can, but will it get approved and or, receive your notice that it was approved in time, Was done though, online is so easy, and they seemed to sorted it out. Hasn't crashed in quite some time. Did mine the other day online, and got approved the next day. That was pretty impressive, and a first, as usually takes up to a week.

I noticed them last night for the first time. Those and some sushi rolls. Test them next time on the road 👍 Should have ate the gra pao spaghetti. Don't think I'll be getting the pork noodles w/pork wontons in the future The Kit Kat choco cake with wake up coffee was decent ... though seems to be shrinking. Wish they'd keep things the same size, and just raise the price, although probably healthier, as don't need that much sugar. Guess they'll raise the price next month, after the shrinkage ... 🙄

Hope that tasted better than it looks. I'm have 7-11 grub this AM myself, and even gave myself 2 options Old stand by, gra pao pasta or pork & noodles w/pork dumplings

Shipping an E bike from UK to Thailand.
KhunLA replied to Asquith Production's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
Only you can answer that question, if it's worth selling & buying here, or shipping. I get it though. I really like my Schwinn bike, so I converted it. Hindsight, for different reasons, I should have left well enough alone, and simple bought an ebike here, especially after @BritManToo's successful purchase with BkkBike, as that's who I was looking at to buy at. They give you the option for better spec'd battery if wanting. The only real question mark, that I had. At the time I thought they were pricey, now know it's simple the market price for quality. If you really like your bike that much, yes, keep it. Depending how long you've had it, you may even consider buying another battery for it, before shipping it. Weigh the cost of shipping from maker to TH vs cost of new one here. Depending on proprietary connection of same. Age of battery, as 18650s are so yesterday Even the one I have, made with 21700s have been improved, I think, with 26650s. Even saw one 32XXX, though didn't read much about it, as not nearly ready to upgrade. Consider Thai roads are not as friendly, and you may want a better suspension, even fatter tires, depending on you use of. Since you are already here, I'd pop into BkkBike and check them out, before making a decision. Happy shopping or shipping. -
What is needed to renew two year drivers license at Pranburi
KhunLA replied to kiwikeith's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Did you click on 'foreigner' and register. It really is too simple. Or, you could just pop in and ask them. Thought I answered your query. Prove who you are, and where you live. Was 3 yrs ago, and not sure if needed a med cert or not, Possibly, the DLT site lists what you need or pop in and ask. PP yellow book or CoR current license med cert ???? DLT elearning # from site -
Yea ... that was my chuckle on his/her/it's post, as I'm not much of a Hua Hin fan at all. Used to be a regular stop for couple days, 10-15 years running, starting in 2001. Really nice then. Now, I might pop into the mall, if needing something, but that's it. Actually here now, and not even going to bother with the mall. I wonder how many of those islands he/she/it's been to, to form the opinion that they are ruined.

Shipping an E bike from UK to Thailand.
KhunLA replied to Asquith Production's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I read it the same way .... he's shipping UK to TH, but agree, might consider selling battery there, and buying new here, if possible. Though suspect very proprietary connector, and could be an issue. UPS ... may be in for some heavy price shock, and then hit again when it arrives, as was the case for me one time, and took quite a lot to sort it out. I'd never use any of the 'known' folks; fed ex, dhl, ups as just silly priced. -
Thanks ... yea that took a while, and didn't think it was coming back.

KhunLA replied to kiwikeith's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
go to DLT site, and everything you need is listed there. Proof of address, not necessary to have CoR, as yellow book is accepted. Need to watch vid, or at least, sit in the room. The usual eye, color blind, depth perception & reaction test. Need to do the exam on the DLT site, then follow instructions.
