Bread in US is actually poisoning you...
KhunLA replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Off the beaten track
Apparently you didn't understand my post. Cut staffing that obviously, were not doing a very good job, since the poison is already in the food supply. Are you awake now 😎 And yea, with you and the rest of the deranged folks, everything was, is, and will be, Trump's fault. Yea, I'm done with you also. -

Obvious they were corrupt or very inefficient in their job, since the poisonous food supply was there before Trump was president. It will always be Trumps fault with the deranged folks. Bringing Trump into the conversation, is simply proof, that ultra processed for is healthy for you. Trump being 79 years old and seemingly only exists on junk food -

I agree ... I didn't say I believe all are grooming, simply that I understand how they, some people come to that conclusion. No different that some think all priest are child molesters, or all blacks are criminals.

Yep, headlines like this don't help the alphabet / pride pushing / drag queen reading to kids / men in ladies restrooms as being acceptable, forced on others. No wonder so many equate those policy pushes to be nothing but grooming children. Countering all the 'advances' over the decades of homo & bisexual choices being accepted.

Billions of $$$ involved, but good luck and hopefully RFK is successful, as long overdue. @transam it's not just potassium bromate. So much crap in USA food, banned in UK and other countries.

I think it's all accumulative, depending on one's diet. Potassium bromate linked to cancer in animal tests, and a common ingredient in bread, if not banned, and yes, it is banned in the UK. Add to that the sugars and hydrogenated oils used in junk food, ultra processed food, and many suspect that as a cause for higher 'new' cancer rates in developed countries. Your family in te 80s & 90s year old brackets, weren't raised and these possibly unhealthy foods, and more of a whole foods diet most of their lives. Many of the USA ingredients used are banned in the UK. Any wonder the high 'new' cancer rates among 1st world countries that folks now live on store bought processed food vs home cooking of whole foods. Scan my cabinets, and you'll find little to no processed packaged food. A bag of corn flakes and some dairy products mostly in our house. From wiki, and top 14 countries with cancer rates per 100k ... NMSC = non-melanoma skin cancer -

Read the ingredients, if having Potassium bromate, you may want to give it a pass. Still allowed in USA, but banned in many countries, as are a lot of ingredients used in USA food processing. Whole grain, or just whole wheat flour being marginally healthier, a bit more protein, less carbs. Also consider, whole grain or just whole wheat bread isn't 100% of that flour. 10% to 50% max, and it's about flavor & texture. When I use whole wheat flour, its ~40% split with 60% bread flour. -

I think 'buy' is where the problem comes in, if in the USA. Make your own is only way to ensure what the ingredients are. -
It's safe, as long as they keep banning cars from CH via tariffs. Not sure what the MAGA has to do with he subject, aside from spewing my hate. Therapy may help with that ... or not

ATM fee now 250bt
KhunLA replied to mrmicbkktxl's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Make sure you take out the max you bank / card allows, and get that increased to a much as the Thai ATMs will disperse. If I had to pay almost $8 to access only $500 of my own money, I'd be pissed Guessing AEON is still cheaper ??? -
@rikiderorck It's good that all your topics are investing related ... BUT ... what's your home country, how old are you, and how much are you talking about investing ? As one topic, you stated 'is it good to invest all in 1 thing?' NO, that's never a good thing, unless experienced. Good that your interest are RE related, as hard to actually lose, but unless you can buy land in TH (you can't) then profits are minimal, if any. Or long term ROI. Other thoughts, require a Thai partner, so you have no real control. Job market is fine, if you have a marketable skill, allowed in TH. Investing in RE, in your home country, would be a much better, safer idea, especially if a socialist country, USA, UK, EU. TH is not the place to invest, especially your life's savings, unless very experienced, and your queries point out that you are not.

I enjoyed the whole series. Gets better as it progresses. Worth watching since not much of interest now except the repetitive cop / detective shows.

Its not that, as mine gets accepted with no middle name. I don't think info is missing, probably wrong, as it won't let you proceed with missing info. If you are sure all the info is correct, and on the last step, you are checking off, 'use sign in info', then maybe that info is missing and not linked to check before sent. Check sign in info, if possible, or simply fill out the info where asked, instead of using 'use sign in info' option.

Saw that in Mickey Stotch's YT vid yesterday, and thinking about popping up for a visit. Maybe overnight at Phetchaburi, as someplace I never really checked out much. Just a couple spots.

Would you build a house on land you didn't own in your home country ? Why would you buy a house on land you didn't own ? End of the lease, you no longer have access to your house. If I was the land owner, I'm thinking, I (or kids) get a free house in 30 years. Why would I renew, if your are even still there or alive. How old are you, and do you really want to be stuck with a 30 year lease? Condo is the way to go, if you want to own. Although with your ignorance (not being insulting, just factual), you really should rent for a few years. Much safer with options to up & move, for any reason. If I wasn't extremely experienced in RE, before coming to TH, no way would I have bought or built anything in TH, the first 5+ years I was here. @rikiderorck

Here's a new view ... getting tired of the weeds. So getting yanked out & covered over. All this hay, got me thinking about a horse. Not sure I want another pet. Then I'd have to build it a mini barn, which I'd have to add Solar to ... hmm. Do need a new hobby

I needed to file a claim with Roojai, and their service was excellent. Prachuap Khiri khan province office, claims adjuster from Hua Hin district. The oops was my fault. They approved repairs in a timely manner, then approved additional repairs, found during the test drive, after initial repairs done. Also had the work done, at my request (when asked where), and I chose the MG dealer. MG dealer authorized repair shop was 100+ kms away from the point of the accident. Thankfully, as only 3 kms from our house They covered all transport cost, we simply paid the stated policy deductible, since my fault.

dailystar ... Do you have any news sources that don't start with 'daily' ... ""Claims that Mads Mikkelsen was denied entry because of a JD Vance meme are FALSE,” Department of Home Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. “Mikkelsen was refused entry into the U.S. for his admitted drug use. “Political reasons” were not to blame either, CBP said on X, formerly Twitter. Mikkelsen – not to be confused with the famous Danish actor of the same name – told Nordlys that upon questioning by authorities, he admitted to having tried marijuana once in Germany and once in New Mexico, but that he didn’t feel it was relevant because it was legal in both places. It’s also legal in nearly half of the U.S., but not at the federal level.” ... Paraphrased from; https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/news/2025/06/25/tourist-denied-entry-us-phone-search-vance-meme/84342280007/ Marijuana use would be a violation of federal law ... hence the denial. Even I used to be questioned by US Imm almost every time I returned. Loved the "any drugs or firearms with you" query. Due to past (supposedly expunged) arrest record, and me having a current FFL (Fed Firearms License) Oh yea, instead of ordering any firearm I want from any manufacturer, I'd rather bring one back illegally from Mexico or the Caribbean Isles. He obviously has some notation attached to his PP that he doesn't know about. He admits himself, they pulled him aside to a private room, before even asking for his phone. Nuff said.

Bringing Pai to me ... Banana Pancakes I'm about banana'd out, even after the squirrels & birds did their sampling, still to many to eat. Really nice variety though, fat, dark green/brown, and really sweet. Best bunch so far.
