  1. Do you have pain? If not bin them.
  2. Re the second question, a non-O multiple entry visa (marriage) is reported now as requiring the same finances, i.e. 400k, as an annual extension, so likely not of much benefit to you.
  3. For a single non-O (retirement) from London in Feb this year I received a follow up email asking for; Other request documents: - Flight details showing the applicant’s name, departure date, all flights en route from UK/Ireland/UK territories to Thailand ....so it might be worthwhile being prepared for that just in case you get the same next time.
  4. It's not Cadmium its tailings/slag. So I think rather less than your calculation. Nevertheless you wouldn't want it in your tea,
  5. No good reason, available elsewhere with slightly blurred pants.
  6. Assuming you have online access to the accounts I would try sending 1000 baht using Wise to the fixed deposit account. Then see if it turns up - should do in seconds. That would establish if or not you can indeed deposit money online.
  7. I bought a True tourist SIM years ago. If you just keep a small balance on it you can use from that to extend its validity (8.41 baht for 90 days) whether in or out of the country. Can do it wherever you might be using the app on your phone. And when you want data in Thailand just add a day/week/month pack, many to choose from. And provided you've enabled roaming you'll get OTP's without any cost.
  8. I've read several accounts recently of 400k being required for a single non-O (family). I myself needed to show 800k for a single non-O (retirement) from London in February.
  9. I reckon it means just a normal savings account, as opposed to a fixed deposit. Although they all do "current" accounts with a cheque book I never saw anyone with one.
  10. Your route to a non-O visa followed by extension ought to be pretty clear to you now. But until you get to 50 you can only wait. So right now you should be planning how to enter and stay for 5 months or so from September onwards.....tourist visa+extension+border hops seem in order.
  11. Does/has your wife do/done a TM30 for you? If so you should be able to get the CoR.
  12. This one? Worldwide should be good enough for Malaysia.
  13. Good news for you, one of the documents is the TM7 application, and better still they will have filled it in for you! Worth the 500 baht in itself.
  14. ....oh, and when they do send the approval you'll have 5 documents to print to take along with you, hopefully you are near a printer.
  15. I did 2 of these in December. Once you finally get the documents sorted to their satisfaction it does seem to go quiet, but not for long. Within a short period I had 2 mails confirming that the application had now been forwarded to immigration followed an hour or so later with confirmation of their approval. So with any luck by this afternoon you'll have the same.
  16. From the photo his covert skills could certainly do with some improvement.
  17. Not really difficult. Go to a branch with a external deposit machine and book update machine.
  18. The bank in Ranong should be able to produce the letter and statement you need for the conversion/extension. However, as there are some things they will not be able to do - new passbook, new ATM card, etc., it would be worthwhile trying to open an account with them. It costs nothing to do it and if they will without too much foolishness it's better all round. If they insist on you needing a non-O visa to open then go ahead and get the documents first then you can go back once you have the visa and open an account.
  19. To see the current seat allocations on an upcoming flight I always use "Expert Flyer". Free of charge it has some limitations but it's good enough to see how busy the flight is and if you have a free seat next to you, etc.
  20. No need to buy Excel. Just use Google Sheets and download as .xlsx when finished.
  21. Have a read here, suggests a multi entry is not possible at all, presumably that is what you are after - but perhaps somebody has some recent direct experience.
  22. Nothing has changed but of course they can enter exempt and extend.
