  1. Maybe you missed the bit where I said, "I'm not worrying about it - I figure they just changed something and that's it."
  2. Here's one I did a month or so ago (which is exactly like all my previous ones) vs one done a week or so ago. I have done these many times so I filled out the online notification in exactly the same way as I have always done. I'm not worrying about it - I figure they just changed something and that's it.
  3. There is absolutely no way I would queue up at CW for a re-entry - there is just no need. Get it at the airport whenever you next fly out. I just did it a couple of weeks ago at Suvarnabhumi, multiple re-entry. It honestly took less than five minutes from walking up to the desk to receiving my passport back, and that includes them doing all the form filling and taking a photo. 4,000 baht (3,800 for the multi re-entry and 200 baht for them doing all the work). You don't need to prepare anything at all. If it is busy it might take 15-20 minutes maximum, I can't imagine it would ever take longer than that. The previous time I did it a family of five got there just in front of me and there were a few already waiting, but I was still done in less than 10 minutes. For me, just do your extension at CW then get out of that hell hole as fast as you can. (I understand some people may be worried about the airport being busy or it taking so long they miss their flight but that is never the case, it's quick and easy).
  4. Do they? Every time you use the toll they run out of the office to your passenger side to catch you for not having a license? Really?? I have been driving here for close to 30 years and I have been taken aside at a toll booth once and that was because I was speeding prior to the toll and they had radioed ahead. You must be mega unlucky to have them running at you every time you use the tollway. Poor you - the only guy in Thailand that this happens to.
  5. Sympathy, humanity, compassion, respect for women (alive or dead) - none of them are his things.
  6. I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 47 seconds
  7. The other troll on these threads used to have a sense of humour. I almost miss him.
  8. I heard about that happening once before eight or nine years ago but wasn't sure if it was a fable.
  9. I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 120 seconds
  10. I think this is a fair question. Look at Volvo for example - a safety conscious brand who limit their cars to 180kmh top speed now and have a "zero fatality" aim in the future. I drive an ICE Volvo and the safety aspects are incredible. But their EX30 does 0-100kmh in 3.6 seconds which is insane! It's a mini family SUV! I'm not sure why they make it so fast but personally I'm glad they do. Generally I think most EV owners drive sensibly most of the time as you smash your battery if you are doing 0-100kmh standing starts all the time, but it is odd that companies such as Volvo allow such crazy acceleration. I wonder what the logic or science is behind it - there must be something.
  11. But if you are on the cheapest fare you have to pay for seat selection.
  12. Of course he would - he is an amoral grubby little grifter who would accept money from anyone for anything.
  13. They use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries from CATL. Just more ignorance from the usual posters. No names mentioned, just the guy who has to post negativity on every single thread on this website no matter what. I mean how else would you get to 57k posts?? The count is life.
  14. Which hole is this exactly? Care to explain? What do you know about the battery chemistry in these buses?
  15. Yes, a very nice and beautiful park. I have never paid to get in though I haven't been for a few years so could be a new policy. If it helps towards to the maintenance that's fine as it a huge and well looked after space. Nong Bon next to it is also really beautiful (and free). And they allow dogs.
  16. If a Yaris can drive through it I don't consider that a flood.
  17. I can't speak for the others as I've never tried them, but I've been using NordVPN for 3-4 years now and very happy with it. Works perfectly, never had a single issue, and it's pretty cheap. Main thing I use it for is iPlayer and similar UK based things. Not saying it's the best as I have no idea, only saying I use it and like it and it has worked flawlessly for all the time I've had it.
  18. Apropos of nothing, I saw a Xiaomi SU7 in Dubai last week. It looked incredible. I love a lot of the Chinese design: BYD Seal, Deepal S07 and L07, others too, but this really stood out as a piece of design. It had such a presence, very Porsche-like. I hope it comes to Thailand, can't wait to see them on the roads here.
  19. So come on then, which one of you was it?
  20. I'm in Dubai at the moment - the last place you would expect to find EVs. Teslas everywhere. 90% of my Ubers have been Teslas. Xpengs are here. A few Geely EVs that I don't remember the name of. I've seen a handful of BYD Hans, but no other BYD models. I did see a huge new "BYD Experience Centre" that looked like it had just opened so I guess they are entering the market. Quite a lot of European EVS too - Merc EQs of various types. No Vinfasts. Ha ha. But of course EVs are not taking market share, no siree. Of course there is still all the glorious exotica and bling everywhere. Can't go five minutes without seeing (or hearing) a G63 AMG or three.
  21. Yeah, I think he is troubled. Very bizarre behaviour.
