I am a bit tired to repeat the discussion in the initial thread about this topic. And again all kind of things mixed in like the out of province fee for withdrawals (can be avoided with cardless withdrawal). Not new in any way. A nuisance as long as I can remember. The topic is about >deposit< of cash at the machines. For me nothing changes. Always "identified" with my bank card. I bet only few foreigners are affected by the change.

KhunBENQ replied to Lucky Bones's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Sounds like squaring the circle. Higher math ???? Waiting for my friend in Jomtien to complain. Told him a thousand times to do it online. -

How much do the average Thai person earn ?
KhunBENQ replied to Baron Samedi's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
60k to 70k is top ranks in government/police. Freshman at police are ridiculously low paid under 20k. The average immigration officer that serves you is in the 30k+ range. These numbers are publicly available. In Thai only and not a quick find. It's of course not the first such thread more like the 100th. When on the desktop I might find them. This 350k number for a company employee per month!!!? Even in management. What a joke. -

Granddaughters with bachelor struggle to earn 20k / month. One has a bachelor in environmental engineering and now likely over 20k. Would have to ask her. -
Is 75 day tourism guaranteed?
KhunBENQ replied to LisuLover's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Regarding Thai immigration. Very unlikely that it would be denied. Assuming you have no history with overstays and the like. And for the extension you should be able to show the outbound booking within the extension period. -

If the flight is overbooked it's a great chance for them to kick you out or force pricey rebooking on the spot (like me with a 32 day booking, long ago). -
A Thai news source says that flooding is strong again in Phuket town,Thalang district and Kathu district. Resulted in flooding and heavy traffic congestion. I saw Patong beach rd. seemingly clear.

Technically it looks like they can get through on some routes without experiencing wet feet in the car (like I did). But is it worth?

I searched through Twitter, Facebook and news search (also in Thai), Parts of the island are still heavy flooded. Even where the water is only spilling over the traffic is terrible, long jams. You would have to pay me a fortune to drive to the island with my car now.

Cherng Talay rd., 18. Oct, about 16:58h (5 PM).

Who paid for, who owns it, who will pay expensive repairs if possible at all? I almost ruined my 3 month old car in Pattaya in 2011. That's a lesson that I will not forget.

As mentioned I lost oversight about their options. That happens if a billionaire clan not only owns 7/11 franchise but also True (and much more). A country on the path to oligopoly (owned by a handful of clans).

Technical progress. Same reclassification in the EU. It was almost all "A++" (A to D?). Now not many come above "F" I am not a EU fan but this is surely better visualized then here.

New rule for cash deposit machines from November 15th
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News Headlines
Depends on bank and type/services of the account. I pay 200 Baht per year at SCB and Bangkok Bank. At Kasikorn I pay 200/year plus 20 Baht/month for a full/all event SMS service. What a terrible world-record rip-off ???? -
From our older fridge: (and here the color coding is questionable. The better the greener would make more sense not "red alarm"????)
-
I have no idea why they use this visualization. As far as I remember in the past it was simply like a clockwise meter (1-2-3-4-5).

Forget the stars, make your own???? Second one has bigger volume (258 liter vs 208 liter) and less power consumption. Just do math: volume/power consumption. The higher the number the better. For the second one: 258.5/269 = 0.96 First: 208/369 = 0.56 Much worse. Rule of thumb Volume in liters equals power consumption per year: very good one.

I'll lead Tories into next election, says embattled Liz Truss

Allow me to put a big laughter on that even though I am not from the UK. I naively hoped that the UK would come out from Brexit strong and healthy as an example ???? -

Yes some banks still do. I get around with cardless withdrawal. Requires Internet banking on smartphone. No fee nationwide. -

Nothing new/change for me. Always used banks debit card to deposit money. No fee of course. Didn't even know that it can be done anonymously. Much ado about nothing. -
I can't comment what I would like. Just look at the shirtless p.o.s. and draw your own conclusions.
