One teen killed, six injured at barricade

By The Nation

One teenager was killed and six others injured late last night in a motorcycle pileup while they were trying to flee a police roundup in Bangkok’s Nong Chok district.

Police were alerted that some 50 to 60 motorcyclists were racing on the outbound Suwinthawong Road near Soi Suwinthawong 15 in Khok Faed sub-district.

Police attempted to block the road to stop and arrest the road racers.

Most racers evaded capture, but seven teenagers crashed into each other, resulting in the injuries and death.

Som nam na, if you want to race go to a proper race track!

Somehow I don't see much sympathy going out on this one, I say too bad more didn't pile up and smash their bikes to smithereens, and messed up their faces so everyday they look in the mirror, they will be reminded of how stupid they were.  Yes I did some crazy shi'ite when I was a kid, but when cops are involved, I obeyed the law.  Maybe I was lucky we had an abandoned airstrip to dragrace on .

Finally some good news - between all the Monday morning headlines.

A quite relaxed interpretation of "teen"ager.

Or a typo?
