Phya Thai police chief axed under suspicion of abetting zero-dollar tour agencies

BANGKOK: -- The superintendent of Phya Thai police station was ordered transferred to the operations centre of Metropolitan Police Bureau for 30 days under suspicion that he might have abetted the operations of zero-dollar tour companies in the district.

 

The transfer of Pol Col Nitiwat Saensing which took effect on Sunday followed the court’s acquittal of a zero-dollar tour agency due to insufficiency evidence.

 

Appointed as acting superintendent of Phya Thai district police was Pol Col Somsakchai Amornsongcharoen, deputy commander of the First Division of Metropolitan Police Bureau.
