Bookshop for schoolbooks & English books in Yangon

Featured Replies

I need to pop down to Yangon to renew my passport next month.

Whilst there, I want to visit a good bookshop to buy some English language books (books for young children, dictionaries and grammar books, posters etc), that I'm donating to a local orphanage in Naypyidaw.  (BTW, thanks to everyone who donated books in Bangkok).

It is 5 years since I last travelled to Yangon.  I remember a good bookshop on The Strand, not too far from the Indian Embassy.

But maybe that shop has now closed, or perhaps there is a new bookshop that is worth a visit.

If anyone can suggest a bookshop, please let me have the location details!
