Bangkok Airways Samui Resident Card

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know if it's possible to get the Samui Resident Card for Bangkok Airways with a retirement visa? If so, do I just need my passport or are there other documents necessary.  many thanks

We tried a couple of years ago and could not.  From memory you needed documents to show you were a business owner or a work permit.  You could also get if married to a Koh Samui resident.  Should have been able to get if you own property but in our case they would not accept the house book and we gave up when they were not clear about what documents they needed to prove this,

You have to have a proof of resident and a 1 year retirement visa

Yes, as mentioned above, you need Proof of Residence, for example a Yellow House Book for aliens – or proof of business like being registered as director in a Thai Co. Ltd. – proof of residence might just be a letter from Immigration; but ask the staff at the Residence Card office, they are normally very helpful...

Agree with khunPer, stop by their office next to Bangkok Hospital they are helpful. In addition to methods to provide residency on Samui, a friend was able to get the card by showing their home lease that was over a year old.

Good luck
