Canned baked beans, local, tend to be too sweet so I usually buy imported.

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea how to cut down on  the sweetness of the local ones by adding whatever.

Yes Brookes baked beans are fine at a better price than Heinz (maybe due to stupid import tax on European imports)
Brooke also have pretty good tinned tomatoes.

go to Siamburys on the dark side.... they often have good deals on beans and other canned goods as well as condiments and sauces.

Go to the top of khao talo and where it meets khao noi bear right at the 7/11. Go past Castra gym on your left and they are about 200 metres further down on the left hand side just before the Samorn bar.

I started making my own. Lots of recipes out there. Most Makro have different types of dried beans.

Do they have the same blanket lifting quality?

Ayam brand do a 'light' baked beans in tomato sauce (reduced sugar and light sodium formula).

Cheaper than Brooks and using the larger bean but I think they're okay.

Certainly less sweet than the standard Ayam beans.
