Some of these 'kneelers' are finding out that 'free speech' works both way.  You get to say what you want.  However, you have to listen to what you don't want.  :cheesy:

Free speech even allows people to use emojis to laugh at their own jokes. Or rather, let's us know that the unfunny things they say are jokes. Which is about as  sad as canned laughter.

There are still depraved, foul, immoral people in America who "think" the plight of the black is of their own doing.

Only 60 years ago in the "Land of the Free" :

Sixty years ago, on September 25, 1957, nine African-American students started their first full day of classes

at Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, escorted by the 101st Airborne Division.

"I was determined to finish that year, I was not going to give up, because that way they would’ve won,

and I was not about to let that happen.”

This is where the Trump fans and Cheeto will part ways: he tells them to walk out of the game.  Yeah right, after spending at least US$150 (and that's just the cheap seats) per person and planning a day out with tailgate parties etc does he really think they're going to do what he says?

NASCAR is pretty white and, umm, well, the crowd speaks for itself.  For those unfamiliar with this culture check out the movie

This man walked away from police when told to stop, over to his car, reached into his car and as he came out - he got shot.

Were the police supposed to wait to see what he pulled out of the car?

It was a justified shooting. Nothing to do with racism.

It's only going to get worst. The largest veterans organization in the U.S.  The American Legion is chiming in.

We haven't heard from the AMVETS or VFW yet.

I believe the days of the National Anthem and Jets flying overhead is coming to a close.

The American Legion blasts NFL for disrespect

Before you champion the American Legion .. are you aware that that org refused membership to Vietnam vets in '64?

I know, because a few of my buddies and I were denied membership at the AL post on Okinawa. Reason given was 'Nam was not a declared war.

I have been told that nowadays, they allow non-service members to join.

Those that have been given the folded flag hate it !! I would rather have my young boy home any day than a frakking folded flag on the frakking table. YOU have never been given a folded flag!!

It is funny how this hysteria over the national anthem and the flag is entirely reminiscent of the muslims hysteria over disrespecting the koran or 'Mohammed'. Oh it's just a book everybody says, it's just some guy out of history, why all the fuss? Muslims going mad about nothing, going mad about burning or dissing a book. And here we are , citizens of the United States of America going mad about some dudes kneeling down during a national anthem. Have you all not noticed, one of your territories - Puerto Rico has had no power for 6 days, people are dying due to heat, poor sanitation and a lack of fresh water, but lets stay on the out rage bus about black guys kneeling during an anthem, and don't climb on the out rage bus about the complete lack of government response to 3 million US citizens suffering in a disaster area.

Of course you would. Because people would always choose to have others protect them. I believe there is a word for that. C

I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color......  https://www.sbnation.com/2016/9/11/12869726/colin-kaepernick-national-anthem-protest-seahawks-brandon-marshall-nfl

So said a black man who was (at the time) getting paid $2m? to play in a sport where over 70% of the players are black, and the average salary is $2M PA.  Mmmmmm.  Something is not quite right.  And I do mean not right.

Meanwhile the American people are speaking in droves, attendance and viewership at NFL games is down and continuing to slide.  Sponsors of players and the NFL are starting to cancel their support. Also meanwhile, Nascar has told all drivers and teams that if they dont stand for the anthem and flag raising, they will be fired.

And of course the MSM and liberals are complaining about what Trump said and his tweets, which is exactly what many Americans have said too. Trump didnt divide America to become the POTUS - he took the conservative patriotic side of the argument - and he won.

USAA Bank, which advertises they are a military bank is getting slammed with letters and emails encouraging them to pull their sponsorship to the NFL.

Indeed, fans usually tune in sometime around the 1st quarter.  Now, with Trump's foot-it-his-butt statements, fans will tune in from the first minutes, in order to see who is protesting, and how.

Trump is the greatest thing to happen to NFL ratings since 'The Fridge' played for Chicago. I guess twice as many Americans are watching/attending now.  The 'Jobs President' was hoping to fire and/or put the NFL out of business (as he's tried to do with the NY Times and Wash.Post), but he has instead increased their popularity ten-fold.

If you want a mega-boost in popularity, get Trump to poop on you.  It works like a dream.

The San Francisco 49'ers.  For 25 yrs, I resided not far from SF, so I rooted for that team.  That was during the 'Montana-to-Rice years', .....wow, that was fun!

Teams count on the selling of merchandise and advertisement to make their bottom line. Attendance at stadiums is second.

The U.S. military was still heavily segregated. The air force and the marines had no African Americans enlisted in their ranks, and the navy only accepted black Americans as cooks and waiters. The army had only five African-American officers. In addition, no African-American would receive the Medal of Honor during the war, and their tasks in the war were largely reserved to noncombat units.

OK for all you people protecting the NFL. Let's not forget the hypocrites that they are.

Husain Abdullah, of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, was penalized during a game Monday for dropping to his knees in Muslim prayer after scoring.

How about Tim Tebow?   Chastised for kneeling before a game in prayer.

I guess it's only allowed if you are showing disrespect for the flag and country.

Where is this freedom of speech all you liberals keep wanting to rant about. Is it only allowed when it suits you?

This could get ugly before it gets better.  Because American people are refusing to bow down to the liberal lefties anymore.  It is not OK to protest certain things - respect for the country comes first to most Americans (non-liberals).

Absolutely 100% correct. Liberals only believe in free speech for themselves - not for anyone with an opposing view.   Recently a College Coach was banned for taking a prayer with the players after the game.  He appealed to the 9th circuit and lost - the same liberal Judges who stopped Trump's travel ban.  Obama has tried to change America to a 'liberal utopia' like the EU liberals have been doing.  Supreme Court appeal is underway, but it will take a while to over-turn this liberal lunacy.

"Now all coaches across the country stand under the prospect of being prevented from engaging in any outward displays of religion,” Dys told me. "That includes crossing yourself or even taking a knee to pray."    Welcome to the America that was fundamentally transformed by President Obama and his activist judges.  It’s a nation where football players can take a knee to disrespect the flag, but a coach can’t take a knee to pray to the Almighty.

The NFL has rules about showboating after scoring. That's a rule about the game. I didn't know that the standing for the National Anthem was part of football. I guess you learn something every day.

ANd Tim Tebow was chastised? Was that officially chastised? Is there such a thing as being officially chastised? Did the President of the United States start tweeting angrily about Tim Tebow praying? I must have missed that one.

You are really reaching.

The NFL has some kind of celebrating rule, which I won't pretend to understand.  They later rescinded the penalty once they found out what he was actually doing.

If you can find an official rule that kneeling players are breaking, let's have it.

I haven' looked at the case but if the coach wanted to pray by himself that's one thing. He's in a position of authority and oughtn't to be using that to lead his football players in prayer.

Well, the Supreme Court disagrees with you. And the founders of this country would be horrified by your attitude towards the flag. It's idolatry. And those who say that American soldiers died for the flag, are making a mockery of their sacrifice.

I'll be willing to bet that half of the slobs kneeling during the anthem never heard of this guy!

Many of them are protesting Trump.  And that will just encourage Trump.  He thrives on getting under their skin.

Maybe they should try voting, instead of kneeling.   :cheesy:
