Help-10 Months No Green Book

Featured Replies

I bought an Iron One from Star Motor Company in Mae Sai. I paid cash, including the fee to get the bike registered, with plates and ownership papers (green book). Constant communication has gone NO WHERE-'You just have to wait" they keep telling me. Fortunately, I have another motorcycle I can ride because this one has no plates (cannot ride it legally) and I have no ownership papers. I have papers reflecting the purchase, but nothing else.  Any suggestions?

...and I simply want to sell it...for cheap...to get rid of it.

Have you tried complaining to the local Damrongtham Center? Companies seem much more motivated once they get a call from them.

Go to the local transport office with a Thai speaker with all your paperwork to explain the situation. They will give you a document for the police if you get a stop/problem because it is illegal after 30 days, they will look into it....:stoner:

Go to the provincial government office, take any evidence you have like receipt, picture of bike copies of emails or whatever,  and ask for The Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB), then make an official complaint.

They will definitely contact the Star Motor company on your behalf. But be aware that as you have the bike that they can only lobby on your behalf for the registration procedure.

Or what the above poster said. http://www.chiangrai.net/x-files/xFileform.asp
