That's what I did. Got the photos from a small shop in Mae Hia (floor above Rimping) for 150 THB. The agencies have all the forms, do all the photocopying, and just point to where you need to sign. That's it! Sit back and relax as you wait for your new 10 year passport to return. -

Yep they might have been trying since the 60's but no "viable" product emerged until the emergency use concoctions where hastily approved, now all of a sudden the technology is tried and tested and super safe and effective !! -

Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system is online (but not announced as starting yet)
Rather than being a piece of paper the new TM6 will be an online document. Completion of departure information shouldn't be necessary prior to arrival, but would be required for departure by modifying the tdac used on entry. The auto gates for departure should only open if everything is in order, like the paper TM6 I can see many failing to complete the information before going to immigration. At a kiosk the IO will say what is wrong and either fill it in for you, or send you to the back of the queue. However if the gates just don't open, many will scratch their heads for 5 minutes before coming back out and going to a kiosk.
