Three unattended boxes cause bomb scare in Phetchaburi

Three boxes left unattended for two days caused a bomb scare in Phetchaburi’s Khao Yoi district on Friday night.

 

Bomb disposal officers were called in to check the boxes at a bus stop on the Bangkok-bound Phetkasem Road at 8pm.

 

The officers used a small amount of explosive to blast open a box. Inside they found label strikers of a drinking water brand. Opening another box, they found more of the stickers.

 

Officials will contact and reprimand the owner of the drinking water brand for leaving boxes in a public place, resulting in the bomb scare.
